Not easy to extinguish. But burned decently enough to boil water. Read more
I really love these little stoves, BUT they can be very dangerous if you tip them over while the fire is burning, no explosion 💥 but running dripping burning fuel. So just make sure you use them on a cleared ground surface. I just about burned up a picnic table and the fiery fuel dripped into the fall leaves covering the ground. SO use and enjoy with caution. Pros, it is very lightweight, blooms fast, within a minute (when using denatured alcohol, did not work so well using 91% alcohol - yes, quality of fuel makes a difference with any alcohol stove) has a decently long burn time, and cools down quickly. Cons? The only one I can think of is it could be easily damaged. It is a step up from a homemade beverage can stove, but just. Also I think it could be cross threaded easily. I am keeping mine in a drawstring bag inside my cook pot. Read more
