I had high hopes based on some of the images and reviews. Followed the instructions to assemble. Item popped with in 6 minutes. Not dog friendly. Read more
The media could not be loaded. At first I was a little skeptical of the price of this ball. I've bought several of this type of "heavy duty" play balls from my local rural supply store over the years, which were all marketed for horses (and larger than this ball) for slightly less than this one cost, and didn't think this one would be any different. The ball itself seems to be a pretty standard pilates ball, like all of them, but what sets this one apart is its COVER. It is much better designed than the other ones I've had. My horses, as usual, couldn't have cared less about this ball. But my four year old, 145 pound Alaskan Malamute on the other hand, LOVES playing with these herding balls...and he plays HARD. He loves to chase, chomp, drag, shake and jump on the ball with his full weight. We were averaging about a ball a month for a while. I wasn't expecting much from this ball, as it is smaller than the ones he's used to, but this one actually works better and has outlasted all of the others I've tried, and I really think it's mostly due to the cover. The material is clearly more durable than others, as Theo has been playing with it daily and it has yet to fray or develop any holes. The hidden zipper feature is also much better than the typical velcro closure you'll find on most covers, as that always fails and then provides a loose flap for the dog to grab onto and rip. The "tennis ball" style seams are not only cute and fun but provide extra strength as well. And the reflective piping is very useful for nighttime play. The trick I've found is to find the sweet spot for inflating the ball - not too full, and not too slack. Unfortunately it takes some trial and error to find the right level for your dog. No ball is going to last forever, of course, but this one has definitely been holding up better than others. I'm very impressed! Read more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been wanting to try one of these herding balls for a while, and while my dog loved it at first, it only lasted about five minutes before it popped, ironically right near the word “pop” printed on the ball. I followed the instructions and inflated it until the air escaped, but even then, it didn’t fully fill the fabric cover, which left extra slack and may have contributed to the issue. The concept is great, and the cover is cute and washable, but the inner ball just wasn’t durable enough for my dog. Might try reusing the cover with a sturdier yoga ball. Read more

I ordered this ball for my 11 month old Australian Shepherd and my 3 year old son. Here are my thoughts: - The ball came disassembled as I would expect. The inner ball was out of the yellow bag which I thought was a bit odd, I’ll explain further below. - In my excitement to set the ball up for my kiddos, I didn’t put the ball into the bagging. Upon finishing the ball, I realized my mistake. I was pretty frustrated to say the least. The ball will not fit into the bagging once filled up, the zipper doesn’t allow the ball to squeeze into it once full. A good feature for use, but frustrating still! - The pump is exhausting to use, but if it’s all you have, it’ll get the job done. I’d recommend a compressor if you want to prevent arm cramps! - This ball has provided endless hours of fun for both my pup and kiddo. It’s been durable enough to withstand some serious roughhousing, which is awesome. - At the current price of $49.99, I’’d say it’s worth it. If you have a dog that is set to destroy something, I could see it being done, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s a good value for the money! Read more
We blew the ball up at 5:10 pm it popped at 5:34 pm the same day. This product is not durable at all. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I have been playing with my Aussies using this ball. My female mini-Aussie is crazy aggressive towards the ball-- pushing it, jumping on it and trying to grab the cover with her teeth. She loves it so much that I have to take it away sometimes because she guards it from my other Aussie. Read more
Dog loves, better fabric then most (not as good as the pricey brand name herding blue ones though).. color is more greenish than yellow.. so far holding up, hasn't popped like last two we got. Only issue is with the pump, ours isn;t working like it should it blows air in AND draws air back out when pumping.. Read more
