Decent Yeti replacement. Not perfect, but perfectly serviceable
So, I bought this lid to replace my broken lid for a knock-off “aqua flask” that I picked up in Guam when I needed a vessel to aide me in my coffee consumption. The lid on that cheap flask broke fairly quickly rendering it not unusable, but less than ideal for travel purposes. I also have a Yeti tumbler that my dog happened to chew up the magnetic slider and render it equally less than ideal for travel purpose. I’ve installed the full lid piece on my Guam mug and found it to be quite nice. The lid itself does not leak when inverted with liquid inside and it does a very good job at its intended purpose. Is it as nice as a Yeti lid? No, it’s not quite as “clicky” when moving positions, but it’s perfectly fine. It gives positive feedback when moving from the closed to open position and vice versa. Lid fit is tight with good seal, doesn’t take the power of Thor to pull it off and gets a darn good seal. 10/10 I swapped out the magnetic slider on my Yeti lid for the slider from the extra lid that came in this set and it fit perfectly, worked just as it should and looks fantastic. Same as above, not as “clicky” as the original Yeri, but it works just fine. For $10 I was able to restore 2 coffee vessels to full functionality and it took only a few seconds of work on my part. I’d say these are a buy and would recommend them to anyone who asked where I got them. Read more
