I’m really happy with the product there was murky water and I couldn’t figure out why this thing clean it up with in 6 hr. I know directions say to keep it on for 6 days but should I turn it off for the night? It does creates a current which is pretty strong lol my koi is getting some exercise. I recently installed the Coospider Repta 200GPH Aquarium Filter with UV feature in my 55-gallon tank, and I couldn’t be more pleased with its performance! This filter has been an absolute game changer for maintaining the health and clarity of my aquarium. First off, the pump works exceptionally well. It delivers a steady flow of water, which is vital for creating good water circulation and ensuring that my fish and plants are thriving. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the overall water quality since I started using this filter. It effectively removes debris and keeps the water moving, which is essential for my aquatic environment. One of the standout features of this filter is the UV sterilization. I can confidently say that it has kept my tank crystal clear! Ever since I added the Coospider Repta filter, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in algae growth and any suspended particles. The water looks vibrant and healthy, making it a joy to look at. My fish seem happier too, swimming around in such a pristine environment. Installation was straightforward, and the unit itself is compact enough to fit nicely in my tank without taking up too much space. Update 12/11/2024: The pump did its job great at first. However I noticed the flow had stopped from the pump. The motor has completely stopped working after only 4 months of use. No blockages or anything. We have always maintained and cleaned the unit per the instructions. I was really impressed while it was working as our tank was very pristine. But for the motor to stop working after only 4 months is a huge concern. I would advise to look elsewhere as this seems to be a dud. Update 12/14/2024. Customer service was prompt in returning my inquiry for support. I was notified a replacement unit will be sent out shortly. Will update accordingly. May 2025. We did receive a replacement unit. 4 months later it has already failed. The light has stopped working in only a few months. The second unit we had purchase the pump has failed. Two units and both failed in less than a few months. Huge disappointment. Absolutely do not recommend. Extreme poor quality. Read more

This was kinda hard for me to figure it all out, took me about 3 hours to get it right. But that can also be because this is my first time using a canister filter. The pipe tubing tends to kink a lot and it makes it harder for the filter to even start. Had to make adjustments just for it to work on my 20 gallon long baby turtle tank, used this filter because when it comes to turtles it’s best to have a stronger filter, even more so when you have fish in with the turtle. So far works good, hopefully it last me awhile even with every tank update my turtle would have throughout its life time. I will update if anything bad happens with the filter. And hopefully it’s not a pain in the back for anyone else to put together like it was for me. Read more

Quick and easy installation of filter. The pump and impeller housing separates easily from filter/uv canister. The canister housing the uv and filters does require more effort opening. Instructions are minimal on replacement of uv bulb, however, there is a website for contacting company who responded quickly to my inquiries. The product is made in China. Flow and aeration capacity is good, you can control aeration and the unit provides options for flow direction. Overall, satisfied with product quality and operation. this is an amazing pump. Been trying to find a good pump for my 10 gal. tank and the two before weren’t powerful enough. This tank cleared up my tank so fast. I deep cleaned before putting the new pump in and used 1/2 clean water and 1/2 old water and my water is crystal clear! I’m excited to see how long I can go without cleaning the tank now. And with the uv filter I think it’s perfect for my glo tank! I have t cleaned the pump yet my i’m thinking it should be fairly easy. The suction cups are strong too. I’m really impressed with this filter. I thought I might need a supplemental filter also but I haven’t at all. Have been using around 3 months. My tank is on the porch and tends to get a decent amount of sunlight. It’s also a shared fish/turtle tank. This filter seems to keep up completely and the algae light actually helps so much, I genuinely don’t think I’ve scrubbed the tank since I started using this (and again it gets sunlight on the porch!). The UV sterilizer worked well initially—clear water and noticeable improvement in tank health. Unfortunately, the bulb burnt out in less than a month, and that’s where the frustration began. There’s no option to purchase a replacement bulb from the manufacturer, and no guidance on compatible parts. I had to improvise with a bulb that didn’t fit properly, which defeats the purpose of a precision device like this. If you’re going to sell a product with consumable components, there needs to be a clear path for replacement parts. Until that’s addressed, this sterilizer feels more disposable than dependable.
