My mouse now has more personality than my coworkers. I bought this new AI Wireless Mouse because apparently, 2025 decided my left click wasn’t doing enough emotional labor. This thing doesn’t just click — it talks. It’s “ChatGPT-enabled,” which basically means I now have a tiny therapist living under my palm. I asked it to “open Excel,” and it replied, “Are you sure that’s how you want to spend your day?” The mouse connects via Bluetooth, records your voice, and chats with AI to write emails, summarize notes, and maybe judge your browsing history (note to self - turn that feature off). It’s like Siri, Alexa, and a productivity coach had a baby and then forgot to teach it boundaries. At first, I thought the “AI” part was a gimmick — until it reminded me about a meeting I forgot. Then it said, “Let’s be early this time,” and honestly… that felt personal. The ergonomics? Great. The look? Sleek. The software? Somewhere between genius and fever dream. Sometimes it works flawlessly; sometimes it forgets it’s a mouse and just listens… ominously. Still, it’s the only coworker I have who can write my emails and never asks for a meeting about it. If you love gadgets, mild existential crises, and having your tech sass you while you procrastinate — this one’s for you. Read more

The five-star reviews for this product appear to be quite misleading. While it functions adequately as a mouse, a comparable item could be acquired for approximately $20 from a lesser-known brand, often found on sale. The "neat" interface, which allows it to come apart, ultimately results in an additional piece of inexpensive plastic. The "ChatGPT" mentioned in the product description refers to an in-house AI model that, in comparison to other AI models currently available, is quite rudimentary. Furthermore, despite appreciating diversity, I am unable to comprehend Mandarin, and the AI exclusively provides results in that language. Therefore, I would advise against purchasing this product. I’m an engineer, a geek, and an early adopter of all kinds of tech. I use AI daily, so when I saw the Cheerdots AI-enabled multifunction mouse from the Oikkei store, I had to check it out. It’s a mouse that tries to do everything—traditional mouse with touchpad gestures, presentation remote with a laser pointer, on-screen pointer, voice-to-text transcriber, audio recorder, and more. The design is sleek and different, and I’ve never seen a mouse pack in so many features. The mouse’s superpowers are rooted in its software - you need to download the software (Mac/Windows) from the Cheerdots website. The software allows you to customize gestures, tweak sensitivity, set your language, and switch between voice-to-text and ChatGPT modes. The detachable dongle, which also acts as the mouse buttons and touchpad, is how you power it on, change modes, and activate features. After putting the devices through its paces, here’s what I think – so far: • It’s cool and unique, but not amazing at any one thing. I still prefer my desktop mouse, my phone and laptop’s built-in voice-to-text features, and just going straight to ChatGPT. • The software is both the best and worst part. It’s buggy at times and the voice-to-text features are slower than the product video makes them seem. • The dongle in Air mode can be awkward. The dongle is small, easy to misclick, and not the most comfortable for bigger hands. • Heads-up for work computers! My company’s security blocked it at first, then after I got that sorted, restricted internet access because by default it uses a proxy server in China (you can change this in settings). Also, be aware—it records and transmits your personal and company’s data to places unknown, so that’s something to think about. Bottom line? It’s an interesting gadget, but it’s not perfect. The concept is great, but the execution—especially the software—needs work. If you love trying new tech, it’s worth checking out, just don’t expect a seamless experience. Read more
