I was thrilled to find this product- it was the only puck screen I could find to fit my 45mm Portafilter. I love that it has very fine mesh on the coffee side, which helps limit coffee becoming stuck inside the mesh of the puck screen. I was so happy with the product that I ordered 51mm and 58mm for my other machines.. Then in less than 2 weeks the 45mm screen delaminated and the two layers separated.. this is makes me wonder how the 2 layers were held together in the first place? I hate to think that some type of adhesive was used between the layers- and it is degrading into the espresso as it is extracted. Very disappointed! Read more

I really thin these filters help the homebrewer in two ways: 1. The filters allow the system to spread the pressurized water across the whole puck and allow the full puck to be expressed. 2. The filter works as a buffer between the showerhead and the puck to keep the showerhead and system clean. Since the use of fiters, I have been able to reduce the amount of residue from my showerhead to almost zero. Wonderful little reusable items. Read more
