Had a skil powered screw driver for a while and it is perfect for camera covers and other things you don’t want to over torque. The ring switch on it can’t be beat but its size makes you not want to carry in your pouch all the time. So I figured I would give this screwdriver a go. I am pleasantly surprised. The build quality is better than I expected. The battery will last all day and the torque is better than the Skil. And guess what it fits in tool pouch. I took off 1 star for the crappy bit ( which I replaced) and the switch placement which you hit by accident when you’re trying to turn it by hand. You do start training yourself to hold the end of the ball. If it only had the ring switch of the Skil it would be perfect. Read more

As an apprentice, I have been expected to be able to use my manual tools effectively. For the past 2 years, I have never seen an electrician use an electric screwdriver (drill yes, but not screwdriver). But now that I work at a tech company, it seems everyone has an electric screwdriver ... and it really speeds up work. So I have been really enjoying this electric screwdriver. It makes my work faster. It's magnetic, so it's like having a third hand. I charged it once, and I have used it for a week. (I probably need to recharge it soon.) I like the strap it comes with, because when I work in a cramped spot, if I drop it I know it won't go far. I like that the bits are interchangeable with the bits from my non-electric screwdriver. It's still taking me awhile for my fingers to automatically find the correct buttons, but overall the tool is easy to use. The ball head helps my hand apply pressure, so it is ergonomic. So far it is working very well for me. The only thing I would improve is making the strap a bit more hefty. The gauge of the string for the strap that connects to the tool feels like it could snap. This is hands down one of my favorite tools that I use on a day-to-day basis as an electrician. Easy type charging with the LED indication forward and reverse buttons on a very nicely shaped handle where I do not need to look at the device to know how I am holding it and which button I'm about to press. The shape is more comfortable than you would think at first glance, and this device is more handy than you might think. However I do swap the factory bit with a different style which can accommodate the flat head for a faceplate much easier. This screwdriver does not have a torque limiter so if you hit harder than it can turn it will keep trying and at that point you can turn the device itself as a screwdriver and then the rotations will continue allowing you to use it in a ratcheting fashion. Battery is pretty decent and I think I can get through about 30 to 40 receptacles before it needs charging. I would suggest this device for HVAC as well as the Locking quarter inch truck is super easy to put in nut drivers for say like a quarter inch sheet metal screw on the Fly. Never really have to worry about overtaking screws and chewing them out as it doesn't have an extreme amount of power which is fine for the kind of work that you'd be using this device for anyways. At this point I have everyone at my work thinking that they need to get one as well. Read more

Good basic electric screwdriver. Nice size, ball of the handle fits in your hand comfortably. Easy to use for forward and reverse, powerful enough for assembling my furniture. Appreciate the quick release chuck and the light so screws are easier to see. Just wish it also had speed or torque control to prevent overtightening.
