This is an excellent little driver, I wish I had bought it a long time ago. I didn't realize how handy one would be until I started using it. I did a lot of research, but kept coming back to this one. I thought the convertible grip would be of little value, but I find myself switching back and forth to suit the situation, and its very easy to do. The one negative is the charging plug is the old style that has to be oriented correctly, but its really not an issue. The charge holds up very well anyway, and it has power to spare. Re-hanging some outdoor brackets, it unscrewed and reattached about 12 1-1/4" screws, and 2 2" lag bolts that I honestly didn't think it could handle. all on one charge! The only question is one of durability, it seems solid enough, so time will tell. TM Read more
Good screwdriver for small home projects, especially when there's assembly with a lot of screws. Works well with my arthritic hands, screws the hardware in tight at reasonable speed with good enough torque. Read more
Good: has a lot of power for tough jobs (but not professional work), Not too heavy when holding for short periods of time, Bits stay firmly in the driver when used, good battery life. Light is a nice brightness but a little weak. The unit adjust to straight handle or an offset angle for better grip and pressing force Bad: WAAYYY too much torque, there needs to be a lot better control over the power of this tool. It's pretty hard to keep the bit in the screws while using it. Grip and paddle to engage is a little clunky, the ergonomics cold use some work. Light is a little weak but this may be to save battery life. Weight is fine but unbalanced towards the front. Using this on a ladder all day would get heavy but I don't see it being used for pro work. Takes up a lot of space, must be recharged and has no way of holding your bits. These make it tough to compare against a high end ratchet screwdriver Overall: I recommend this over a manual screwdriver but because of the torque issues I would suggest a higher end ratchet screwdriver over this. But I got this on sale ($22) and for that price you can have 3 of these vs some of the best ratchet screwdrivers so its tough to call. I would say for simple homeowner tasks this is lovely. For pro's or people doing delicate work you will want something else Read more
The SKIL 4V Pivot Grip Cordless Screwdriver has become an indispensable part of my toolkit. This nifty little device is the definition of user-friendly, making it the perfect go-to for all my DIY projects and everyday home needs. One of its standout features is the Pivot Grip handle. The ability to switch between a straight grip or a standard one is a game-changer, offering flexibility I didn't know I needed until I had it. It's like having two tools in one, and it has already saved me time and effort on numerous tasks. The longevity of the charge on this screwdriver impresses me every time I use it. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery means I'm ready to work at a moment's notice, without the hassle of constant recharging. And when I do need to power it up, the micro USB charging is so convenient—I can charge it virtually anywhere! To top it off, the built-in LED work light is a brilliant (pun intended) addition. It shines a light exactly where I need it, turning those tricky jobs in poorly lit corners into a walk in the park. All in all, this SKIL cordless screwdriver, with its included 9pcs bit set, bit holder, and USB charging cable, earns a hearty five stars from me. It's clear that SKIL understands what we handymen need in our tools—reliability, versatility, and convenience. This tool checks all those boxes with ease. Read more
Initially I was going to request a replacement, as I couldn't get the device to operate when engaging the trigger (full battery). Not specified in the directions, but in the Amazon product troubleshooting guide, depress the trigger and hold. Release and WALA! works as designed. A relatively medium duty power screwdriver that one would expect from SKIL. My suggestion to SKIL is clarify initial operating instructions more clearly to demonstrate the above. Recommend. Read more

Replaced my 2nd Harbor Freight tool with this. So far so good. Good performance, battery power and torque. Not as trim a footprint as the Harbor Freight, but a longer bit solves that. Read more
So far, this rechargeable cordless screwdriver works fine. I purchased this screwdriver because about 10 months ago, I bought the SKIL Rechargeable 4V Cordless Screwdriver with Circuit Sensor Technology Includes 45pcs Bit Set, USB Charging Cable, Carrying Case - SD561204. However, the screwdriver stopped working, except for the light. Unfortunately, I never registered this screwdriver with Skil, so I can't get it replaced. This time I registered the new Skil pivot grip rechargeable screwdriver. We'll see how long this one will last. At least, the 45pcs bit set can be used with his pistol grip model. So, I give it 3 stars for now. Read more
