I was hopeful the combination of memory foam and filler was the answer, but not so. This mattress topper was ok but did not provide the comfort level we were hoping for. It is generously sized for our king size bed, fluffed up some after 15 minutes low heat in the dryer and leaving out for 48 hours before using. It barely fit in my dryer, and I’d never attempt to put a king size in a washing machine. It’s just too big. It is well made and might work well for some, but comfort level is a personal preference and the type of mattress you have. Ours is a new adjustable firm spring flippable mattress with a plush top on both sides (for flipping) but the plush top didn’t provide much cushion, so we opted to add a mattress topper. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it as it didn’t provide pressure point relief for me or my husband, especially when side sleeping. It definitely didn’t feel like a cloud to us, either. It didn’t maintain 3” across the board. In some places, it reduced to just about an inch after sleeping on it. The topper is decent, but not amazing. It definitely adds some softness and makes my bed feel cozier, which helped a bit with pressure points on my shoulders and hips.
