To be honest I love these as shorts as far as the material, it's very light/airy and quick drying. Even the length is perfect, stopping right above the knee so they're great for running and squats. My main issue is the quality, I purchased a 3 pack and maybe two washes in, the seams just fell apart in the pockets in 2/3 pairs. So there are just open holes and no pockets.
