You can’t use both ends of cleaning wand at the same time but still works great. The rubber part that goes in your ear fits great but I noticed the hole to let sound in when noise cancellation is off is smaller than normal so it lets in less noise, but other than that I love it. Would recommend to anyone looking for new ear tips. Read more

But when it came to the Ear Tip Fit test I had trouble getting the medium size to work with the original medium from Apple. It wasn’t until I sized up the Amazon ear tip to L that it actually passed the test one time when I had the Apple ear tip in the other ear. There is a slightly noticeable size difference when comparing Apple to this brand. The feeling is also slightly different with Apples silicon feeling smoother and softer while this brand being a bit more tough and not as soft. The mesh on this brand is noticeably larger and not as fine as apples mesh. They stick out a bit too far off the AirPods to where the connection point is seen, while Apple is more flush so the connection is concealed and doesn’t look as goofy. I do really like the cleaning tool and found it to be very useful and effective for cleaning the mics and all the mesh though. If you’re desperately in need for some new tips that will work and meet your needs, then I think these are fairly decent for the price and the tool included, but for top quality and functionality -my personal opinion spend an extra 3-4 dollars the Apple ear tips and save yourself any trouble. After leaving my noise cancelling headset at home, my husband was a sweetheart and loaned me his AirPods (1st Gen). He warned me that one earbud is "f-d up", but in general, it works great. Upon further inspection, the recharging case was discolored, the rubber tips were falling apart and quite frankly the one that existed was a bit of a biohazard (side note: I need to buy this man Q-Tips). The lack of ear tips made the noise isolating aspect of the AirPods ineffective. Being on airplanes and working around noisy equipment, I knew I had to do something. I purchased above based on the mesh-single mold review and cleaning kit & it's been a lifesaver this trip. I was able to clean out all the... er... wax and whatever else was in the case and the connector points. The retractable micro-cleaning pen is well designed and compact. Based on some of the other reviews, I did use the little disinfecting wipes that I got from the car rental company (thanks, National!) to wrap around the foam stem before cleaning the inside of the case. The scraping side of the cleaning pen is perfect for picking around the speaker/transmitter and the brush made the device look like new. The ear tips actually come in small, medium, and large. I'm tempted to hold onto the smalls because they fit my ear perfectly, and put the medium or large tips on for him (all while being able to swap back/forth in the future). Anyways, TL;DR: worth it. Glad I added this to make the $25 order. I'd buy it again separately. Read more
