I feel bad because my husband got me some AirPods 4th Gen as a birthday present. They keep falling out and dropping whenever I turn my head sideways. It’s a good thing you can locate each AirPod separately via a beeper because I’ve had to do that constantly when they roll under something after they fall out. These gel covers that I bought just don’t work. The iPod still falls out. I read all the reviews about twisting them in your ear, having the bottom part turned forward to your cheek, wetting the inside of the cover so they don’t tear before you put them on, blah blah blah. No issues there - but But, bottom line is the covers don’t do anything different than if there were no cover at all. Bad design flaw for both the covers and the AirPods. The AirPod shape is too big and smooth for my ear, and there is no silicon gasket like in the older earbuds where you can change the shape and it stays in your ear. I ended up keeping my AirPods because these covers fixed the issue of them slowly sliding out. They keep the AirPods secure and fitting snug in my ears without falling out. They can be a little hard to put on and adjust because of the grip, but it’s definitely worth it since they stay in place. This product may seem like a good idea at first glance, but the covers are poorly executed and do not fulfill their "anti slip" promise. The material feels cheap, thinner than expected, and seems easily tearable considering that they do not easily find their position on your AirPods without a good working over with finger and thumb. I was disappointed when I put the covers on, put my Airpods in ear, and felt no more secure or snug with the covers on than not. The covers don't stay in position well with repeated use; they kind of slide around and eventually cover some of the necessary sensor ports that the Airpods 4 need to function and can even slide down over the main speaker. One plus is that while on, the Airpods 4 they still fit in the charging case, though you have to apply a bit more pressure to close the case. That is the only plus. Read more
