This is more like a 4.5. This set is huge! You think it looks like a lot in the photo, but once you hold it in your hand, you realize just how many tools you’re getting. Between the brushes, dotting pens, liner tools, and tapes, it honestly has everything you could possibly need for nail art. The brushes with caps are my favorite! They’re thicker, easy to hold, and feel comfortable in the hand. The dotting tools are also nicely weighted and smooth to use. There’s a great variety of brush types for different designs, and the included color-mixing tray and striping tapes are nice extras that make this set feel complete. One brush did arrive broken, but it should be easily fixable UV-cure glue. That said, it’s worth noting that the quality isn’t quite as sturdy as higher-end brushes (as to be expected). I don’t actually use these tools for nails. I use them for painting and repairing small 3D resin models. I mainly bought this set for the nail art dotting pens, and they’ve turned out to be incredibly useful. They’re great for pushing resin or putty into small cracks and for recreating tiny textures that get sanded off during cleanup. The heads are perfectly sized for precision work, and the ones at my local hobby store were huge in comparison. The liner brushes are another highlight. They’re sharp, fine-tipped, and perfect for detail painting, especially for tiny areas like eyes on small figures. The brushes are very delicate, so I recommend washing them immediately after use to avoid buildup. However, the tools and brushes included are also good for crafting. The brushes are small for detail work and the tweezers are good for applying embellishments to your crafts. The nail dotting tools can be used to score paper when paper crafting or to apply embellishments. So basically, these tools can apply to crafts the same way they can apply to nails.
