I originally ordered this light for our pole barn, but when a specialty ceiling fan bulb was out of stock, I set it up in a bedroom temporarily — and wow, this thing is bright. Even at only 8 feet, it throws plenty of light, and at 12 feet in the barn it lights the space beautifully. I added an extension cord with a power switch since the included cord is a bit short for barn use, but installation itself was quick and simple. The color temperature is exactly what I like: bright white daylight, crisp and energizing. My only real concern is that the housing gets very hot after it’s been on a while. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend leaving it running unattended indoors. For barns, garages, or other spaces where it can be supervised, though, it’s an excellent, affordable lighting option. Works well. There is no on/off switch; you plug this in and it turns on. Once plugged in, it comes on immediately and is nicely bright. The light is of good, solid construction and seems of high quality. The side and tops are metal and meant to keep the light from getting overly hot. When on, it did not get overly hot, so the design is working as intended. The hook works well and has a screw you can turn in so it can't fall off of whatever it is hooked to once hung. It also includes a secondary safety wire as the hook is screw in. If the hook somehow magically unscrewed itself then the wire would be there to keep this light from falling on whatever is below. Highly unlikely, but still rich in safety design :) This thing lights up nicely. The pictures are in my workout area and things got super bright once I plugged it in. It threw the super bright 6500K light I was expecting so no surprises. End of the day, nice quality light, seems very well built, everything about it seems well done. The cord is nice and thick and is of good length. No regrets with this light. Read more

I researched a lot of different light sources to replace my old school florescent light fixtures. with 160 watts, this UFO high bay fixture makes good on delivering over 22,000 lumens, which is more than enough to replace my old school fluorescent setup. Easy install from a single "J" hook I attached to a rafter. the 120V plug on a long cord makes it a simple plug & play. My Garage ceiling is 12 ft and this single fixture has a nice spread with uniformed lighting. Being LED based it uses a lot less energy than the 2 florescent fixtures with 4 bulbs each this LED replaced. in my research and opinion this is a great value compared to other similar UFO high bay lights I saw.
