I was looking for different lighting for when working around the vehicle lift in my shop. I had 4' fluorescent fixtures dropping down from the 15' ceiling on chains, but I didn't really care for how that looked or having them in the way. I had tried several different types of lights, but nothing was bright enough unless I dropped it down 5-6' on a chain. I decided to give this round light a try, and whoa!!!! I placed it on the same chain where the 4' fluorescent fixture was, and this thing is really bright. It's exactly what I was looking for. Now I can move it all the way up to the top, and it will provide plenty of light and be out of the way. The light looks to be well-made. It has a solid construction and includes the mount and safety cable. My only complaint is the cord length. If the cord was twice as long, it would reach without an extension cord. I won't drop my rating because the light works great. I plan to buy another when they are back in stock. Read more

Installed this in my barn and the difference was immediate. Extremely bright daylight light that easily floods the entire space, making chores and equipment work much easier. I have been on a quest to replace the 1000 watt metal halide lights in my hanger for a long time. I had high hopes for this LED light but I'm afraid it just can't compete with metal halide lights for the sheer volume of light they produce. I will say, these lights do produce a much cleaner color for workshops and the like. The problem is the lighting is just too localized compared to a large bulb type light source. From my testing it would take three or four of these LED fixtures to replace the lighting volume of a single metal halide lamp. The additional wiring to do that simply it's not worth it for me. For a new construction, I would definitely recommend these lights because they put out a very true color and they remain relatively cool while on. I am attaching a picture of both lights side by side to compare the color they produce.
