I’ve been using other eco friendly detergents for a while now. We have hard water in my area. My clothes were not coming out so clean and we noticed yellowing. I was growing very tired of this. I do not want to use the new detergents with all those whiteners, chemicals, etc. And I won’t use fabric softener as it will gunk up your machine. I learned Borax is great for hard water and it helped a lot! It got rid of a lot of the yellowing. However, you could still see some stains and a faint odor of not completely clean because of the other what I call crappy liquid new age detergents (pods, etc.). My daughter has skin issues. She did research and found that certain enzymes need to be in the detergent and they don’t work well in liquid detergents, only in dry detergents, which are hard to find these days. These particular enzymes get sebum and oily residue out of the clothes. The 365 detergent has those enzymes. Now, the cloth cotton rags I use to season and wipe out my cast iron skillets do not smell. My clothes don’t smell. The yellowing is completely gone. Another review mentioned the detergent doesn’t dissolve. I put some in warm water in a bowl and swirled it around. It dissolved completely. Not sure why some people are having so much trouble. If I notice anything unusual, I will update my review. But for now, I am really happy with this detergent. I still add Borax because of our hard water. And I am good with that. Read more

Amazing laundry detergent. Since hitting my mid-forties, I can no longer handle any synthetic smells because they cause nausea, intense headaches and migraines. I didn’t want any lingering laundry smells in my small home, even if they were natural, so I thought I’d try an unscented powder. I researched all of the natural powders on the Environmental Working Group site, and this is rated an A. I also like that it has enzymes. It gets my clothes super clean and they smell like…nothing. Just fabric. My towels, sheets and blankets just smell clean, but not a synthetic smelling clean. I highly recommend. I might try Mollies Suds and Clarks someday, but this is great so far. One box should last a long time. Read more

Does an excellent job of getting our family’s clothes clean without any nasty perfume or toxic chemicals. We have family members with allergies and sensitive skin and this detergent was great for them. Read more

This is an excellenbt laundry powder. I am reducing plastic waste where I can, and powdered laundry detergent fits. It does have a plastic bag liner which I don't like. The detergent itself is fantastic. It contains enzymes, which are the key to getting laundry clean. Even my husband's oily garage clothes get clean. My white socks look really good! No scent, but laundry smells clean. Read more

I like this detergent, it doesn't quite overcome the musty smell in my washing machine, which is used by so many people everyday that the smell is always there... I add a scoop full of baking soda to try to counteract that, with minimal results. But I'm not going to start using a fragrance detergent, so this is the next best thing. Read more

I purchased this because I was looking for a natural powder detergent with enzymes that didn't come in a pod. I've only been using it for a week but it seems to do a very nice job with everyday stains and my clothes come out clean, scent free and soft. Well about as soft as clothes can be without using softener, which I prefer not to use. Work well in cold water. Doesn't sud much but I've opened the door during washes and you can definitely feel it in there working. Read more

I purchased this laundry detergent in April 2024 to replace the Tide Free & Gentle powder laundry detergent that was discontinued. My sensitive skin requires unscented products. I like that it comes in a cardboard box. Would like it better if it wasn't also in a plastic bag inside the box. I've used this product for seven months and while I initially liked the product, I can't recommend it now. When I started using it the laundry seemed clean, but a few items had a white cast to them. Our washing machine needed replaced so I thought that was the culprit. We purchased a new Speed Queen top-loading washing machine in September and the cleanliness of our laundry improved. However, in the past few months, items are coming out of the washing machine with tiny glitter-like pieces (undissolved minerals?) all over them. Some of our clothing has oily looking splotches and dark items have a white cast to them. I hang dry most of our clothing and many of these items are drying stiffly and are scratchy, a sign the detergent hasn't been fully rinsed out (I don't have this problem with a liquid detergent I use for my husband's dress shirts). I use a level scoop for a full load in warm or hot water (municipal water supply), and do not pack the washer tub full. This is less product than is recommended for full loads in a top-loading machine. This product has been a disappointment and I'm now in search of a new unscented powder laundry detergent. Read more
