It has lots of 5000K daylight, don't need a larger wattage item. Bulb base fit standard bare attic sockets just fine; didn't use the extenders at all, so no comments on them. Photo attached showing both an old 60W incandescent and a new light in the attic, & the new light even helps during sunny days (attic has dormer windows) .
