I spent quite a bit of money on punched metal lanterns for my backyard. I love them. And then the solar panel went out. I bought replacement batteries. I cleaned the top of the panel. Nothing happened. Made me sick. And then these came along. It’s like having new lanterns again. Had a fraction of the price. So happy I found these. They’re good quality. Worked right out of the box. I anticipate having Many nice evenings with my lantern lit up by these replacement tops. By the way, incredibly easy to install. The easily fit into the top of my lantern. I measured first to determine which one and it was a perfect fit. And if you’re not into a bright bright light, then you’ll like these. So glad I didn’t simply toss my lanterns thinking they were a one-and-done type of product! (Well, had the solar disc not loosened itself, I never would’ve realized it was removable in the first place, nor would I have even thought to search for replacements — first time lantern owner. lol) It turns out that the exact size (of my failed discs) was available here and I ordered the 4-pack. While awaiting delivery, I cleaned and repainted the lanterns. Upon arrival, I tested all discs (they worked!) and put them on the windowsill for a couple of days to fully charge. That first night….OMG…so bright and beautiful! It’s been 5 wonderful nights sitting out on the deck enjoying these again. The lights last for a good 6-8 hours, then dim themselves out by early morning. I haven’t noticed any reduction in brightness over the last several days, either. They’ve been hung underneath a glass table… to keep them from getting wet and/or blowing away. The sunlight, although filtered, seems to find the solar panels just fine. Next step is to tape over the drainage holes in the bottom so that the light doesn’t peek through at night. So happy to have resuscitated my lanterns. Thanks, Amazon. Read more
This worked out great for replacing the light in an outdoor lighting fixture. The units even come with a battery! Also, they have an on/off switch. The dimensions were as noted. Seems even better than the one it replaces! Cost good too! Read more

I bought a 2 pack of freestanding solar lanterns and the solar light part became hazy looking and stopped working after a year. Bought this 4 pack of replacement lights and they fit perfectly. The light is more yellowy than the old light which is prettier and I have 2 extra lights now. Score! Read more
These are terrific!! My friend was throwing out lanterns that didn't work anymore. I took them thinking I would clean the contractors and change the battery. That didn't work. My husband is a fantastic problem solver!! He found these replacement tops and they work beautifully! I had no idea these parts existed! I'm going to order more because I have other lanterns that need fixing. I'm also going to pay attention to the type of lanterns I purchase in the future. Does its job and replaced solar lights that stopped working. These were not as bright as I had hoped for. I used these to replace other lights in decorative outdoor lanterns. These lanterns gave off a great decorative pattern of light when I first bought and used them. The lights became less bright over time and stopped working.
