Since my house is on a large property in the middle of the woods, I have bought many solar powered motion lights because there are many areas in my yard where running electric wiring is either not possible or too expensive. Since I have tried so many different outdoor motion lights over the years, it doesn’t take me long to figure out if a particular light is good quality or not. So many lights were just not bright enough, or broke when temperatures got below freezing or did not have enough battery capacity to stay lit throughout the entire night. Well, after receiving and testing this Tecknet solar light, I can confidently say that it is one of the best solar lights I have ever owned. One thing I immediately liked about this light is how simple the settings are. There are three modes that all make sense. You can have it stay fully bright the entire time it’s dark, have it stay dimly lit and then switch to full brightness when motion is detected, or have it stay off and only turn on when it senses movement. I have bought a few motion sensor lights in the past that had way too many useless settings and light modes that only ended up making things complicated and unnecessary. But what really set this light apart was its performance. The brightness is excellent and it clearly lights up a wide area. I was originally planning on installing this light for a side entrance on my house, but now I plan on switching my current solar light above my front door with this one because it is just so much better. And the response time on the motion detection works really quick and it picked up movement from a good distance. I also bought lights that were way too sensitive and would constantly turn on throughout the night even though there would be no foot traffic. But this light wasn’t too sensitive and worked perfectly. This is definitely a well-made light. I am confident that it will last outdoors through the harsh winters of where I live. And the solar panels and batteries also worked great. I chose the dim light mode, and it stayed on all throughout the night. It is truly a “set-it and forget-it” light because after you install it the first time and choose the light mode, you don’t have to do anything else ever again. It is one of the best motion solar lights that I have ever owned and it’s only $10. It is a really great value, and I highly recommend it. Read more

This TECKNET 416 LED solar powered light is a steal for $10 and worth every penny! I am so impressed with the quality of this light, the flawless functionality, and how bright it is. It comes complete with 2 self-adhesive pads for a completely toolless option, or screws and anchors for a more stable mounting option. Installation is really easy and very quick. It has 3 lighting modes to choose from: always on, dim but bright with motion, or off and bright with motion. The motion sensor works perfectly and will pick up motion at up to 20 feet away. The only negative is there is no other charging option besides solar. Some lights allow for USB charging, but this one does not. But again, for $10, it is still a great deal without that option. There are 416 very consistent LEDs in this light (see pics 1 on low, and pic 2 on high). This light has a highly efficient 27% conversion rate for charging in the sun which takes only about 6-8 hours to fully charge. Once fully charged, this light will last up to 10-12 hours into the night, depending on the traffic level and light mode setting. It is also rated IP66 waterproof and dustproof to protect it from those harsh outdoor elements. I just can't say enough positive things about this quality light, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone! Has 3 modes: medium always-on, dim always-on with full brightness on motion, and full brightness only with motion. It's pretty darn bright and the light covers a large area. The sensor works like most other motion-activated lights and has a decent range. The solar panel is a nice and large "6 volt" panel, ensuring that it remains charged even when there's not much direct sunlight. All modes are locked out during the day for maximum charging speed. Comes with 2 large double-sided sticky pads as well as screws + wall anchors and a template for drilling holes. Unlike some other lights, this one has actual waterproof sealing (don't try to open it up!). Read more
This solar powered walkway light works perfectly and has a fairly wide radius where it will detect movement and turn on. It turns off fairly quickly and reliably after it has lit up the walkway either to assist you in walking in an area where you want some light during dark hours or as a security light to illuminate the path when someone is on it. It is adjustable with three different power levels so that you can decide how bright of a light you want when it is triggered to go on. Very simple to operate you just press a single button to select the brightness level and then it is set to operate in the evening hours after charging up during the day. It also looks pretty nice and comes with several different options for attaching it to a wall or post Read more
The media could not be loaded. I’ve gotten a few of these, and most of the solar lights are not that bright, this one definitely surprised me, it is cheaper than any of the other ones I’ve gotten but way brighter. It has a decent stay on time and was easy to install. Comes to two screws or two pieces of double-sided tape. I have it on the side of my house for when I take the puppy out at night to go to the bathroom and it lights up a huge area definitely worth the money. As three settings, one that is constantly dim, another that is dim, and then bright with movement and then one is off and then full brightness with movement. Read more
