Moved my Logitech headset and 3 free USB ports to the front edge of my desk. The screws are small but work with a wooden desk. Comes with Velcro pad for other materials. Not powered but works for low power devices just fine. Plugging an external hard drive causes it to disconnect but I'm not using it for stuff like that. Cord is just long enough to reach the back of a most desks. But to go any further you need an extension. Read more

Simply because they must use this upside-down. Guess what! I'm one of the unlucky users. I know they can't please everybody but it sucks. I use all ports with 4 if the same USB A 5v relays so I needed to build a fixture that I can mount this upside-down so I can get to the wire connections of the relays that are now facing up. Other then that it's a nice unit and can handle at least 5 amp without a problem. I'm using this unit to power itself, 3 4tb SSD, TV lighting system and a 192khz BT/optical DAC. it's running all that without flaw, so far. UPDATE 12-20-2023 It's still running flawlessly which is "fan-freakin-tastic" I don't know if it's this unit that has a large capacitor that delays the shut down or if it's another unit thats passing electricity thru the system (i haven't figured it out yet) byt this unit and everything "down stream" is taking almost 2 minutes (yes 2 minutes) to shut down. Its wierd but it's no biggy. As soon as I turn TV off the TV' usv turns off too which is the usb power feed to this unit but even without power 2 this unit the outputs of this unit has power from somewhere to stay on for almost exactly 2 minutes so this unit must have a large capacitor to drain power for 2 whole minutes. Like I said no biggy. Maybe the do that incase of a power interruption so then anything connected to the outputs won't lose data ??? I don't know but it's a nice unit. Read more

I wanted to add some USB ports to the edge of my desk and this seemed perfect. I mostly wanted to have it for USB flash drives or other USB adapters for transferring files. I initiated a couple large file transfers just to make sure the USB3 speed was what I was getting and I could get good speed, but the file transfer would not complete. And then the whole device would go offline and come back online and get progressively worse. The transfer speed would go up and down until the transfer failed. I mean, if you're looking for USB3 in a HUB then it's probably because you want the additional bandwidth for file transfers, so if it can't do that then it's garbage to me. Also the cord should be longer. How do I get from front to back of desk and down to the port with 3.3 feet? Maybe that's just me. Read more
