After a few years of use the valve that's controlled by the humidistat started to chatter. Cleaning the unit and check the wiring didn't help so I finally decided to replace the humidistat. It didn't help. I then replaced the valve and it helped some, but I can still hear a muffled chatter. What's up with that? Be aware: if you have "chatter" replacing your humidistat may not be the answer. Read more
