I got this Abahub pull-up bar for my husband and I to share in our home gym. When I first saw the picture of it, I couldn’t figure out how it would attach to a door frame. Then I looked again, and realized how cleverly it is designed, to sit on the top frame on one side of an interior door, then brace against the side frames on the other side of the door. What I love about this is that we don’t have to permanently install it. We can set it up when we want to use it, and then easily take it down between workouts. It has padding and doesn’t cause any damage to the door frame. The bars are made of carbon steel and it’s quite sturdy. It easily supports my husbands or my weight pulling on it (under 265 pounds). We have 6’-8” high doors, and the pull-up bar is quite close to the top of the door. That’s easy for my husband to reach, but pretty high for me. I’m not strong enough to pull up from a straight hanging position, so I simply step up on an exercise platform to get started. I like the nice grip on the handles. I can use either the wide handles to the sides or the narrower handles in the center of the bar. I can also place the bar on the floor to brace my feet against to do sit-ups. Or flip it over and hold the handles to use for push-ups or tricep dips. It’s turned out to be quite a versatile little gym tool! Read more
The media could not be loaded. I am giving this 4 stars despite issues with the assembly of the unit, because once it is together, it functions very well and does it's job. See attached images and video of the device being assembled and using it along with the instruction manual images. Here are the problems with assembly: The instructions for assembly are very minimal and are missing two screws that must be used to keep the grip bars together. It also doesn't show you that you have multiple long bolts that are different sizes, so if you don't physically compare them, then you might do what I did and assemble it with the wrong bolts on the top section of the bar. I also had an issue with tightening the top bolts into the plastic bar too tightly and then when it got to tightest, the bolt stripped out the plastic square hole meant to keep it from spinnning. I understand using plastic for this part saves money on manufacturing and shipping, but a metal bar might be sturdier. All of that said, once you use the right bolts, the assembly is straightforward, but don't even bother using the wrench they provide, cause it will take you far longer to assemble if you use it. I grabbed a pair of pliers after realizing that the sockets I had wouldn't work. Anyway, after assembly is complete, this works beautifully. It is sturdy and strong and can hold my full weight us just under 200 lbs. The manual says you can use up to 265 lbs. It may not seem like it would be safe from the images or that it might not hold up, but the design is pretty solid and the weight of your body pulling on it goes to against the door frame. This is a really stable and strong unit and it does not You obviously need a wide enough door too use it, but it really works well with a standard fit door. It is very stable and it allows me to easily do the exercises hanging and the manual shows using it for pushups, etc. making it pretty versatile for moutliple exercises. I am really happy with this device and without the assembly issues and the plastic bar, this would get 5 stars. Read more
I have hesitated to get one of these for a really long time because I've been skeptical of how effective and stable they are. However after after trying this one, i am relatively impressed and would gladly recommend this for anyone looking for a simple, strong and secure way to do pull ups at home! The assembly of this product was simple and straightforward. While the instructions were not very detailed at all, the exploded view made it relatively self explanatory as to what pieces needed to go where. The item is lightweight but strong, and extremely versatile. Putting it on and taking it off.The doorframe takes less than a second, and this piece of equipment can be used in other ways as well in other settings and positions. When pieced together and all parts secured, this item has no wiggle at all. The foam coverings on the various parts of it, protect all parts of the doorframe. Although I do wish that the plastic top bar also had some sort of foam to protect the drywall above the doorframe, i am not sure if this would be physically necessary, as repeated use throughout the day today has caused absolutely no damage, or even any sign that this piece of equipment was installed there. While I cannot speak to the longevity of this item (i've only had it for one day), i have used it enough today that I have no doubts about its capacity and potential. Read more

Seems sturdy enough. The instructions list 6 washers but only 4 were included and it doesn't list 2 small bolts that hold the length of the bar together. The plastic piece that rests above the door trim has foam to help prevent damage but it is slightly misaligned. Overall it's quality is not superb but good enough to get the job done. Read more
I really love this pull-up bar. The instructions were a little unclear at first, but since there aren’t many pieces, it was easy to figure out, definitely not enough to dock a point. It fits perfectly and was very easy to mount on the door, and once installed it feels extremely sturdy and secure. Out of all the Amazon products I’ve purchased, this is by far the one I use the most. On day one, I could barely do one pull-up, and now I can easily knock out multiple, which says a lot about how consistently I’ve been using it. The listing mentions other exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and dips. I personally got it mainly for pull-ups, but it’s nice knowing those options are available. Mine is set up on my closet door, so every time I walk in, I challenge myself to do a few pull-ups. Overall, an incredibly convenient, motivating, and effective piece of equipment. 10/10 product.
