They seem to be of good quality and have held up after a couple of washes. The fit is great—I wear 36" jeans, and the XL fits perfectly, with the length just reaching the top of my knees. These are really nice comfortable shorts, just follow the size chart for your waist and they should perfectly. I primarily bought them for tennis and was concerned about the comments of the pockets being too thin but they easily fit two tennis balls on one side and could fit 3 in a pinch.
