I usually like curved toenail clippers and curved fingernail clippers so using flat edge toenail clippers is something I'm not used to. The texturing is nice but not overly aggressive and adds a nice bit of grip. The toenail clippers are sharp and cut well. Time and use will determine how long they stay sharp but considering more than one comes in the box if one gets dull then I'll get a new one out of the box. In conclusion these are good to keep in the medicine cabinet, in a drawer, etc and with so many pairs there will always be one available for when it's time to cut some toenails or fingernails. I've always bought nail clippers from the bin at the drug store counter. Now I realize there are better clippers and the difference seems to be in the steel. While these clippers are not as shiny as typical clippers, being more of a semi-gloss finish, the steel seem to be better than average. I think it is a tougher alloy. Thus, these clippers are stiffer and have better leverage for better cutting. I suspect they will stay sharp longer but not sure about that. Inspecting all five clippers the precision and quality control are excellent. No flaws whatsoever. At nine bucks for the lot it comes to $1.80 each which I think offers great value for this product.
