The media could not be loaded. I wanted a simple way to make fresh juice and milk at home. I am focused on eating clean right now, so having something I can use with whole ingredients was the main goal. This machine has potential, but there are some gaps in the experience. Controls The controls are simple once you understand the sequence. Line up the lid with the handle, press power, and cycle through options using the menu button. My first batch was apple-carrot juice, and I was able to get started quickly after a rinse and ingredient prep. Everything I needed was included: user manual, recipe booklet, power cord, sponge, cleaning brush, strainer, and a small ounce cup. If the wrong mode is selected or the process needs to be stopped, pressing the power button will cancel the cycle. Performance My apple-carrot juice came out smooth. I left some of the skin on the apple to see how the machine would handle that. The blend was still good. I couldn't tell there was skin in the juice. The overall blending power is solid. The machine does vibrate while running, so it needs to be on a flat surface. It is a little loud. The machine runs at 850 watts. Cleaning The auto-clean function works like a rinse cycle. You still need to go in with the included brush to clean around the blades and the lid. The blades are not removable, so you will be angling the brush underneath to get it clean. It is manageable, just not quick. Design The unit is compact and fits easily on my kitchen counter. It does not come with a storage case, so plan to either leave it out or find a shelf for it. The buttons are easy to see and operate. I did not notice any chemical smell or overheating during use. Advice 1st: The recipe booklet is printed on decorative paper that makes the text really hard to read. Take a picture of the recipe with a mobile phone and then blow the image up so it is accessible. 2nd: I made 2 cups of juice and some of the liquid escaped through the air hole in the lid. The container can hold more, but juice was already bubbling out at 2 cups. If you are adding more liquid, monitor it while in use. Value At the time of writing this review, the price is under $50 USD. I think the expectations and experience makes this a good value. Rating I gave this 4 stars because it works, and the juice came out smooth. But the missing information in the instructions, the misleading cleaning function, and the design issue with the lid all lower the overall experience. This could be a great appliance with better documentation and a few practical tweaks. Right now, it feels halfway there. Pros ✓ Compact ✓ Easy to use ✓ Easy controls Cons ✗ Weak instructions ✗ Leaky lid ✗ No real auto-clean ✗ Unreadable recipe guide Consider Before You Buy ☐ You will need trial runs ☐ You must clean blade manually ☐ Juice may leak if overfilled ☐ Recipe book is hard to read ☐ No removable blade Read more

When I ordered this nut milk maker I was fully prepared to shred it in my review, but after I received it, I was surprised and impressed by how well it is put together, and how well it works. I already have $220 MioMat and $400 Nama M1 nut milk makers, so I was fairly certain a less-than-$50 nut milk maker would be pretty lame in comparison. That turned out to be not the case. The MioMat is great for making soy milk, but cleanup is not exactly convenient, and the soy milk needs to be filtered to remove okara that would otherwise make the soy milk feel kind of gritty. The Nama M1 can't do soy milk (soy milk requires a cooking step to denature protease inhibitors in uncooked soy) but excels at quick and easy almond milk, and I use the leftover almond pulp as filler in homemade bread. Tasty. Well, to my amazement, the tosgar machine does a really good job at making soy milk without a lot of noticeable okara left over, and it solves another problem for me. I make my own tree-to-bar chocolate, and when I press cocoa butter from roasted nibs, what to do with all the leftover cocoa solids? They come out of the press as flakes that are too coarse to use as cocoa powder without serious grinding. Fortunately, I can put a couple of tablespoons of cocoa flakes in the tosgar with 50 grams dried soy beans and ~750 ml water at night, then set the timer and wake up to hot healthy cocoa soy milk breakfast drink in the morning. Neither of my other nut milk machines can do this! My spouse likes it unsweetened, but I prefer to add a little sugar. Other reviewers have commented about the self-cleaning program not really cleaning very well, but I find a drop of dish soap and then a light brush and rinse after the program works very well. This machine is now in almost daily use at my house, and I'm quite pleased with the results. I see several other offers on Amazon for what looks like the same machine, but this one is the lowest price I've seen so I would get this one. Read more

If you love nut milk as much as I do, this machine is perfect for your kitchen! I like both almond and soy milk, and have tried both creations with this machine since I picked it up. It tastes more "pure" than storebrought milk - keep in mind that your batch won't have any of the additives that commercial/store-brought nut milk contains. This is healthier, because you choose what to add to your milk - whether it be more sugar, more water, a bit of cocoa - it's up to you. I presoak my nuts - but it's not necessary, according to the machine. Clean-up is a breeze. Simply fill the machine with fresh water, and press the botton to blend-clean most of the container. I've saved so much time and money ever since I picked up this machine and made my favorite nut milk at home! Read more
