I like this mat. Although twice as expensive as the several plastic mats I’ve bought in the past, this tempered glass could easily last twice as long and mat may just last forever. And, in the meantime, it is providing me with a much smoother rolling surface. As I say, I like it. The mat is heavy, though. although it arrived with robust packaging, it has a slight amount of damage to one corner. It is minimal and the mat is not in public view. Also, the kind young man from Amazon who delivered the mat, possibly thinking I reminded him of his great-grandfather, VOLUNTEERED to carry it up a flight of stairs to my office in my home. I didn't know there were different types of mats for different types of carpet. I have tried different plastic mats in the past, and the wheels of my chair keep sinking into it, because they were not the best fit for the type of carpet I have. I decided to go with this tempered glass mat (great for high pile carpet) and the difference is astonishing. My chair rolls incredibly smooth, even better than hard floor. It looks well built and durable, but only time will tell. I still don't trust rolling close to the edges, but I'm sure it will not break when it happens. Read more

I have this on a rug and it keeps sliding and I have to keep moving it back into position at least twice a week. I have all the grippers installed but they don't keep it in place. If the company has any suggestions to help with this situation, I'll take any suggestions from the manufacturer or other customers who had this situation and mitigated it somewhat. Advertised as 46"x55", actual size received was 45.25"x55". Overall, it is a quality product and comes well packaged at a great price compared to the other brands I looked at. I was overjoyed to find them on a sale. Originally, I knocked off a couple stars for the size difference and not being able to find the non-slip pads. Just based on the review (without me contacting them or asking) the Seller reached out and made it way more than right. Very nice to encounter a Seller like this. Read more

I have always used heavy plastics chair mats. Got tired of having to replace them all the time. I am an IT guy by trade so I spend a lot of time at my desk working. I use a very nice rolling chair and thought I would try the tempered glass. I was very worried about shattering and the glass taking my weight, especially on a carpet that is laid on cement surface; which have a tendency not to be perfectly flat. The combined weight of the chair and me is 315 lbs. After a month of using it daily I love how smooth it is, and how it does not have static charge build up. It is easy to clean and like the look of it. I have not looked up the strength of 0.20" tempered glass, but I would prefer 0.25" to be on the safe side.
