This is the 48 x 60 on hardwood floors with an Aeron chair with the soft casters. My initial impression is it is very good quality. My chair rolls easily in general and easily rolls back up on due to the beveled edges. It is difficult to get the plastic off so recommend having someone help you or take time to cut the plastic along the edges. The plastic wraps over the edge so you can't just pull it off, you have to work it over the edge first or cut it (carefully). Read more
We recently had wood floors put in our office, they are beautiful so I didn’t want to cover them with an ugly chair mat. I took a chance on this crystal clear (non-glass) mat with the beveled edge and ordered a second one within days! They are beautiful! They look like they must be glass but I don’t have to worry about them shattering. I was worried that the chairs would scratch the crystal clear surface but they don’t, even walking on them in bare feet seems to leave no visible print or smudge! They disappear on the floor and do not distract from the beautiful wood. They are a bit more pricy but well worth it! Even my husband who is a major penny pincher says they are worth it! The mat itself is excellent. I am using it on medium-pile carpet, and the mat is firm enough that the chair does not "sink" at all (a problem with other chair mats). This makes it very easy to roll the chair. I have removed 1 star because the mat was damaged during shipping, with a small nick on one edge of it. This damage is not bad enough for me to want to return it - I can "hide" the nick because of how it is placed in my home office. However, the seller should improve the shipping container such that the edges are more protected. Read more
