A Great Little Tool!

I was having a problem with my espresso pucks sticking to the brew head group and searched for a solution. These puck screens have solved that problem. They are robust and seem well made. I read another reviewer's comments on a metallic taste from the puck screen, which actually makes sense in that they are metal, manufactured in a metal shop, so yeah, sounds like a thorough washing is needed which I did before first use. No metallic taste, at all. They fit my Breville 54mm portofilter basket nicely, and I have no problem removing the puck screen from the portofilter basket after pulling a shot of espresso. The small wooden puck screen caddy, which appears to be made from walnut, is an attractive way of storing the screens and looks nice, too. I'm am pulling some really nice shots now and clean up is a breeze as the brew head group is nice and clean after removing the portofilter from the machine. The only challenge I had is that you can't just dump the puck out of the portafilter if you are using some type of container for your grounds. I have a compost bowl that I used to tap the pucks into, and now I need to remove the puck first to take the screen off before putting the grounds into my compost bowl.
