I'm not sure if it didn't work as I expected, or if it was because of user error, but without instructions, I used it the only way I thought it could be used. First of all, as a female, I don't have a lot of long nose hairs, but occasionally I have one or two that look like they're trying to escape from my nostrils. I never know when these hairs will show up and when I'm home, I can just grab my husband's nose hair trimmer. However, I travel for my job and when I'm away from home, I don't have access to my husband's trimmer. The last thing I want is to be having a professional conversation knowing that those daggone hairs are making a grand exit. When I saw these little trimmers, I jumped on ordering them thinking I could easily pack them in my travel toiletries bag. They come in a little plastic case and there's plenty to last a while. One end contains the blade, the other end a little brush to sweep out the trimmed hair. I was a little apprehensive sticking a sharp blade into my nostril but the blade is recessed a bit so it doesn't come in contact with the delicate mucous membranes inside the nostrils. I gently turned the tool around and around and I didn't notice any hairs being trimmed. I tried various movements trying to catch a hair and nothing worked. I turned to the brush end thinking I could position the hair in a better way so the blade would make better contact, but still nothing. I then thought I'd try it on the hairs on my arm - I tried moving the blade with the hair and against the hair and could not, for the life of me, get that trimmer to cut a single hair. It is a little disgusting when these things are covered in nose hair and mucus. But it cuts out my nose hair painlessly, and a quick rinse cleans everything off. Read more
