SUPER breathable. when i got into fursuit making ppl said u need a balaclava to stay hygienic, and this is the perfect, cheapest option. ive also used it as a base for a suit itself, works great to glue straight onto it. fits literally everybody, its so stretchy and nice and thin, and comfortable with the mouth covered or uncovered. its lightweight relaxed nature makes it slip back a little bit when you put a head or helmet on over it, but you figure out how to compensate and keep it comfy. i bought a smaller amt at first, and most recently the six pc so i have lots of spares & i can throw a fresh one at everyone who wants to try my head on lol. nice and loose around the neck too, fr feels like it disappears esp if you have smth on over it. no problems in the regular wash cycle either. wicks sweat like a champ. sweet item 💪 Read more
I work in the construction trades in the southwestern section of the United States, where temperatures regularly rise above 90 degrees during the day. These balaclavas are great for providing sun protection under my hard hat without causing extra heat retention, sweating, etc. They are very lightweight, breathable, and the fabric has a decent amount of stretch, allowing it to be pulled down around my head and used as a neck gaiter when I'm working inside. The fabric does not soak up very much sweat, so they don't become soggy feeling, even when working 10s. Granted, I'm using these in dry climates, so heavy humidity may affect performance, but they have worked great for me, so far. One drawback is that they don't appear to come with laundering instructions, so I hand wash them with delicate soap and hang dry to avoid damaging them.
