I guess this is the future of the cost of high quality workmanship manufactured in the USA. I balked at the price at first, but really, if you got used to the ice cream you can make in a White Mountain ice cream maker, this is your only option now. But once I received it and used it, I could see why the cost was so high. The motor on the Immergood is way better than the motor on the White Mountain machine I brought 20 years ago for $200. In fact, the motor is so smooth and quiet, it’s hard to tell when your ice cream is done. I could hear the motor on the old White Mountain machine from the second floor window and man, would that whine as the ice cream got close to being done. If you stand 20 feet away from the Immergood motor, you have to go back to see if it’s still running. I babied my White Mountain machine along for the last 10 years, putting silicon between the slats on the bucket as the wood would expand and shrink with the seasons, re-greasing the gears, oiling the motor, etc. all that is gone with this new Immergood freezer. I make a lot of homemade ice cream - like 18 gallons of different flavors for the 4th of July celebration alone. I had a White Mountain previously and it died. I decided to replace it with the Immergood and I am really glad I did! It is so much quieter & leakproof. It also freezes ice cream faster by far than the WM too. The workmanship is top notch and very easy to clean. It is a big investment, but if you make ice cream the way I do, it is well worth it! Read more
Really good, but for the price it should be. Freezes the ice cream in about 20-25 minutes - the motor is very quiet. Been through two $100 ice cream freezers in 3 years because the motors did not hold up. I don't think that's going to be an issue with this one. Read more

Bought this beautiful ice cream freezer and chose it over the old White Mountain. The Good. 1. Nice fiberglass non leaking bucket that’s made to last a lifetime over an eventually rusting wooden bucket with rusting wire rings. 2. Freezer can stainless steel and super nice. 3. Quiet as a mouse not noisy, can hardly hear it run. 4. Was impressed when buying with the picture of what looked like a very strong vertical motor. THE BAD! Made three cans of ice cream my first day of use. No freezer can of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry would freeze hard enough to serve when the motor self shut off and had to pour it out and put it in the deep freeze to finish making it hard enough to be ice cream. All batches were able to just basically pour out of the can into a container to then put in the deep freeze to harden. Why would a company build such a quality unit and then under power it? We are homemade ice cream making fools. We have always has White Mnt makers. The last 2 we got were so noisy it was like a freight train coming through. At one point we thought the thing was going to blow. This fine piece of machinery is as quiet as a kittens purr. You can barely hear it. We make it inside the house when it's so hot you can't stand it outside. It's that quiet. Powerful. Works brilliantly. Love that we can see through the clear lid and watch the progress. They do cost a kings ransom and like anything else, we wish they were a little more affordable, hence we would own 1 or 2 more for when the whole gang comes rolling up the driveway. I had to think long and hard about spending that much money on an ice cream maker. We love home made ice cream and love to share with the whole family. We tried it as soon as it arrived and was not disappointed at all. We loved how well it was made and how fast it worked. We use it at least once a week. Only problem now is eating too much of it!
