I have been looking for a better alternative to electric nose hair trimmers, and while these may not completely replace them, they perform just as well in terms of trimming and precision. They do an excellent job getting close to the skin and removing unwanted hair cleanly. There is still a natural limit to how close they can trim, so this is not full removal, but the results are comparable to what I get from electric trimmers. These fit comfortably in all areas of the nose, and I experienced no cuts, scratches, or discomfort during use. The build quality feels solid and I have no concerns about them coming apart or failing during use. They feel reliable and easy to control. Where these really shine is portability. They are extremely small and lightweight, making them perfect for travel. You can easily toss them into a toiletry bag and forget they are even there. For the price at the time of this review ($5), they offer excellent value and deliver the same trimming performance as electric trimmers at a fraction of the cost. I would definitely recommend them. This is one of those products you didn't know you needed until you knew it existed and I'm glad it does. It never fails that when I'm halfway to a destination or find myself in a hotel room and I didn't pack my ear and nose trimmer that I find myself in need of one. These little sticks are basically the same thing as the tip of an electric ear and nose trimmer but in manual form. This makes them good for portability but there can be a slight tugging sensation when you are spinning it around in your nose trying to get out the hair. The nice thing is I can spread these out in a couple of different places, keep one in the car, one in the shower, one in my travel bag, so I will always have them when needed. The blade seem pretty sharp and like they will hold up to repeated use. I make sure to clean it after ever use to keep fresh. Not sure how long they will last so the value for money will depend but I think it's definitely good to keep around for emergency even if you only use them once. I definitely couldn't see myself using these on an everyday basis but that's not what I feel they are designed for. Read more

At $5 I would say this is a fair value for the money if you need a transportable small manual nose trimmer but honestly I can do a better faster job with a pair of cuticle scissors in terms of manual nose hair removal. The blades are dull. After becoming frustrated with the process I grabbed a spool of thread and tried cutting the thread with a new one of these hair trimmers and had to saw at the thread to get it to part. No bueno, if I am going to trim nose hairs I want the blade sharper as with the guard the sharpness shouldn't be a concern. This puts the quality at mid for me. The size and convenience keeps the stars at a three and they are somewhat easy to use. These will get the job done if you have 15-20 minutes and lots of patience. Read more

These little hair trimmers are very convenient and effective. As can be seen from my photo, they are about the size of a standard cotton swab most people are familiar with. I believe the small size makes them very easy to store along with my other grooming stuff and for travel. The design of the trimmers makes them easy to spin and trim nose hair. And, the molded plastic blade guards keep the blade in the trimmer from nicking my skin. So, how do they work? Great! Just spinning the trimmer around the nostril trims nose hairs I have a hard time getting with tweezers now that my vision isn't that swell. Stray hairs that grow from the tops of my ears, or elsewhere, are easily trimmed with a light stroking motion. Again, no nicking my skin. The little trimmers appear well made and in the brief time I've used them have held up fine to normal use. These trimmers have turned out to be a grooming aide I didn't realize I needed.
