Ease of Use Setup is straightforward once you understand how the glove and control unit work together. The controls are clearly labeled, and switching between modes is simple. After the initial setup, it becomes easy to put on and remove independently. The right-hand sizing (Large) fit well and stayed secure during use. Performance The assisted movement is smooth and controlled. The glove helps guide the fingers through opening and closing motions in a way that feels supportive rather than forced. My use case for getting these robotic gloves might be different than the typical user's. I haven’t lost complete or near-complete control over my fingers, but have lost some flexibility and strength that I thought these gloves might help with, given the broad range of uses the product listing promotes. I got these in size small, right hand, to try. The glove is surprisingly powerful, given it's battery-powered, and works exactly as described in the listing, in terms of the various movement, pattern, and strength options. The digital touchscreen is well designed, intuitive, and easy to read and use, and I love that it's all local to the device - no bluetooth or wifi needed. The set comes beautifully packaged in a sturdy, branded box with plenty of cushioning, to ensure no damage en route and to make it gift-ready. Unfortunately, the sizing chart on the product listing is completely wrong, at least for the small and medium sizes. According to the sizing chart, I'm actually a medium, but I ended up ordering a small because I didn't trust the chart, knowing how small my hands are. It turns out even the small glove is too large for me, such that my fingers slip out of the slits in the finger sleeves. That makes the glove largely unworkable for me. The medium would have been completely unworkable. Also, because the finger sleeves are so thick (they appear to be a neoprene type fabric, at least on the outside), they hit up against each other when moving through the exercises. This might be less of an issue for those with larger hands and longer fingers. My unit is also very loud in operation - not just annoyingly loud, but loud enough that you might want to wear earplugs to protect your hearing if you plan to use this for an extended period of time. I can't speak to longevity yet. But were I to guess, the first failure points might be the neoprene/fabric or the batteries. The product listing says 'maximum lifespan: 3000 hours', but that doesn't mean much (what's the minimum?) and only time will tell. It's also not clear if the batteries are user-replaceable (ideally they would be). The listing mentions 3*18650 batteries but it's not clear what they mean (it just says: ‘3 x 18650 - access.. Supports power supply..') or if this might even be a copy error. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else on the page. Re: value and pricing, there are a number of similar looking gloves by what appears to be different sellers on amazon, many at this general price point (currently in the $150 range), and some at half the price. It seems like the main difference between the different price points is the control unit and the number and variety of movements the machine supports, but not sure. Also, as far as I can tell, you need to buy two separate units if you want to rehab both hands; you can't just buy the second glove and use it with the same control unit/motor. From a quick search, I haven't come across any compatible gloves sold as standalones, without the control unit/motor. Read more
The media could not be loaded. First of all I am not sure why some reviewers are saying this unit is noisy. It is not noisy, it has the same pump like a Digital Blood Pressure unit or a small fish tank air pump. I recorded a video so you can hear it for yourself. I am actually really surprised at how well made and functional this unit is. Everything I have seen is well made, even the hoses that people seem to think are flimsy turned out to be good. The only failure point I can see on this is possibly the connector for the base to the hoses eventually wearing out. This Glove has four Modes. 1) It can extend and curl in all five fingers at the same time in a repeating cycle. 2) It can do one finger at a Time and restart the cycle. 3) It can curl and extend four fingers at once and the Thumb is done afterwards then it cycles again. 4) It has a Mirror mode which I assume is doing one finger at a time starting Left to Right and then Right to Left. The Glove has 8 Speed/Power levels for each movement. This is really good as it is can go from a very gentle and slow movement for a 90 year old person to really fast and powerful for someone that is young and almost fully recovered. It also has a full timer mode and a Led foe individual fingers that can be included or excluded from the exercise routine. The Glove is very easy to put on and it fit my larger hands without an issue using the L-XL size. The price is pretty much in line with what I see other units selling for. Read more
