I ordered this tripod to help film myself painting. This tripod is actually multipurpose and very helpful. Firstly, I was worried that the tripod would not be tall enough, but it is tall enough for me to take great pictures (selfies too) and videos (while painting and more) of myself while standing up (I am 5’6”). I ordered this tripod with the goal of using it with a quality digital camera, but with the included phone attachment, it is very effective for use with my Android phone. I can effortlessly record videos and take pictures vertically and horizontally withmy Android. The Bluetooth remote is perfect for helping me shoot pictures AND videos, and it is super easy to set up (if you are familiar with using Bluetooth devices). The tripod is very well made; it is quite stable also with firm leg closures (I actually thought the tripod was quite shorter than it is, before I realized I needed to give the base of the legs a good tug while the bottom clasp was open). I am confident that I can carry this tripod if I need to, because it collapses to be very compact and is very light for its size. I am loving this tripod! I still have my first tripod that I purchased back in the day to use with my first SLR camera! It is heavy and didn't come with a carrying case. Because it has fallen over so many times, it no longer holds a setting. But this new tripod I just purchased is very sturdy, lightweight, and it doesn't take up a lot of space! It comes with a carrying case! I like that it can be used with a cell phone or a full-size camera. Also, the pole can be used as a selfie stick! It's also very compact at its lowest setting and extends out to over 5 feet tall! I like to take a lot of full moon shots! One of the biggest issues I have with my old tripod is that as soon as I get everything set and focused to take the shot, the tripod would wiggle from my touch and throw everything off! With the Bluetooth remote that comes with this tripod, I don't have to worry about missing the perfect moon shot anymore! I like this tripod so much that I use it as a phone holder! I can set it to eye level when I'm sitting, and I don't have to worry about neck/back pain from looking down at my phone! It also helps me keep track of my phone when it's not in my pocket. These are ok for what advertised; light camera or such. I wanted it to mount a spotting scope which is heavier. For that use there is a lot of wabble. Not for heavy items. Read more
