We wanted to try a DC motor fan. The hum of the old fan is gone which is great. This fan was pretty easy to put together and wired up pretty easy too. You will have to squeeze your wires into place because the remote receiver takes up some space but all things fit into place…. Just take your time. Moves a ton of air just on #1 setting, #6 is a typhoon. The different light settings are nice and the remote is definitely an upgrade from the pull chain or wall switch. If you have a light switch and rotary power switch you will only need to wire one of those to this fan and cap the other. I used the light on/off switch and capped my rotary switch. Be careful when putting light plastic cover on… thought it needed to click into place and I cracked a little piece. Can’t notice it and it’s snug for now. The media could not be loaded. The assembly of this was way longer than I expected. I had a task rabbit do the install and with so many screws it took 1.5 hours almost. Now that it is up though it’s great! Blades are pretty long. I like how you could do the darker or lighter wood. Remote has different settings for fan and light. Works well so far. Read more
