Helps a lot for what it was intended for
This is basic, thick stuff that will protect your skin from wetness. If you sweat a lot in areas, or get chafed, this will help you a lot and knock down the painful rashes. There is a lot in the tube, which is nice. Doesn't smell. You can afford to put one in your car or purse if you need it, but it is a big tube so no hiding it. Read more

different, but the same?
Good product, but knocking off 1 star for marketing a variation that has the same amount of the active ingredients, in the same proportion as the regular one. The inactive ingredients may be in different proportion, but the list is identical between this and the original. The manufacturer sells this for almost twice the price of the original A+D ointment. Something smells fishy here. Speaking of smell, let's address the other negative: the odd scent. I don't know if the slightly mechanical oil smell of this is designed to cover up whatever might be worse coming from the body. When I first smelled it, it reminded me of a wet ashtray. Then I remembered what black castor oil smelled like. Very similar to that, even though there is no castor oil in it. The smell you get used to, and it's not that strong. Under your clothes, you hardly smell it at all. The benefit of this lotion far outweighs the smell. This a remarkably comfortable, comforting, healing lotion. They have a winning formulation. It goes on without irritation, I can wear it all day without discomfort, and my skin feels healthier when I change clothes in the evening. Other more expensive lotions and balms could not do all of these things. I wonder though if I could have saved even more by buying the regular version of A+D. Read more
