As I've said in other reviews, I buy $1000s from Amazon every year and only leave reviews when I'm beyond impressed! Having purchased many different knife sharpeners, this is hands down the best; even beats the Edge of Glory which I purchased for our kitchen knives. In general I like all my knives razor sharp. Our kitchen knives are all Calphalon and most of my other knives are all Benchmade with cm154 blades. With only 5 strokes from the course side and 3 from the fine side, all of my fairly dull to "new" knives are razor sharp and shave hairs on my arms easily! We had a couple of older knives even after sharpened a number of times with other sharpeners, I could feel nicks and it took a good 3-4 rounds of 5 course and 3 fine drags, but I was able to get them all shaving hair! It also has a rubber edge that keeps the sharpener steady and stationary on a surface. It is also no comparison to the Lansky PS-MED01 BladeMedic, which I've purchased 2 of, and now want to sell them both on eBay! These are hands down the best I've found and I've even purchased a few as gifts. In addition, I purchased the Accusharp 014C for my machete and it too works just as well! Read more
