While I do most of my gaming by console, I do work with graphics-intensive applications for both professional and artistic purposes, so having a good monitor is essential...that typically means a gaming monitor. That's what led me to this item. For better or for worse, I haven't had the opportunity to run any wild and crazy PC games through this thing, so I can't speak to things that will resonate more with gamers, such as refresh rate, etc. However, I've started using a few creative applications (GIMP, Inkscape, etc.) with this monitor, and things look *pretty* good, definition-wise (sharpness, etc.). Now, here's the deal: I said "pretty good" rather than "great" because while this monitor is full HD (1080p, or 1920x1080), to do really detailed, granular work, you'll eventually have to move up to quad-HD or ultra-HD. I'm just moving into advanced work with these tools, however, so this monitor is a decent start until I grow in skill and/or start doing more complex work. Materials-wise, this monitor feels just as solid and robust--or maybe slightly more so--than my current monitors. I love the bezel-less screen: since I'm now using a multi-monitor setup, it makes blending work across monitors--whether it's art, business, or otherwise--appear to be more seamless. I have mine attached to a Thunderbolt docking station, and I was able to set it up without any issues. Another thing I like is the toggle switch in the back that is used to access the monitor's settings menu: the menu itself looks sleek and high-tech, with a futuristic-looking font, which sets the tone for this being an advanced component of your desktop/gaming setup. Overall, for a gamer on a budget or someone just starting out with computer-assisted graphic arts/design like me, I have to say that this is likely to be a solid choice. So far, I haven't experienced any notable drawbacks with it...I have to say that for its niche, I can recommend it. Read more
The monitor has worked really well so far. Setting it up was very easy and the controls for changing settings and tweaking values were made in a very intuitive and simple manner. The monitor's coloring is done well and is highly customizable, the refresh rate is also very smooth and has no issues with flickering that a poorly designed monitor might have. The only thing the monitor is really lacking is an adjustable height, but depending on the setup this may not be an issue for some people. Overall my experience with this monitor has been very positive, it gets everything right that it should get right. Read more
Fast refresh rate and very good color. Worked great right out of the box. I like the fact there is a dedicated power button separate from the joystick adjustment toggler. Plenty of options and you can select from eight individually adjustable modes. This makes it easy to switch between settings for gaming to graphics to watching videos. The price point is good for tthe features it offers but as others have noted, this is an HD monitor, not UHD or 4K so those with super high end needs will probably not find this adequate. Read more
Very easy to set up. Great monitor for the price. Just the right size to do multiple screens. Really fast refresh rate. Great overall monitor. Read more
