Thought I would go on the journey of doing a dip myself. Well, that journey did not make it far. At 10 pm, I realized I was applying non-acetone to remove the horrendous job I did. Realizing this, I quickly went to Amazon to find an acetone remover with next-day delivery. This was delivered right when I woke up. It removed all of the dip, but it did take a few applications of cotton balls soaked under some foil. I’m new to applying gel nail polish. So I didn’t realize there was a whole process to taking it off my nails. I assumed I could use regular nail polish-whoops! I chose this set because it has everything I need (except foil) to take off my gel nail polish at home. I was very impressed with how fast the acetone loosen the polish, and it has a pleasant grape smell. It was very handy to have the cuticle oil and scraper to scrape off the polish. I wear colorstreet dry nail polish strips, most has lots of glitter and or designs and sometimes double strips. I soaked a cotton pad and used nail clips and let them sit for 3 or 4 minutes and it easily removed the polish quicker than others. I have always used non acetone, conditioning remover that has a higher price point. Even though this is acetone it did not dry my skin out, it is gentle considering it's acetone. It does not have a strong smell, honestly I barely noticed the smell. It worked for me and colorstreet is very stubborn to remove. I always soak my polish off and this did take a shorter time! It may take longer on some polish, I've never used gel, so I can't attest to gel remover. I'm sure it would easily remove regular polish efficiently. There was no sticky residue for me, but I did go back in afterwards with a cotton soaked pad to make sure I got all the glitter specks removed. I washed and dried my hands, then proceeded to applied my new set. I would recommend this product if you use or need an acetone remover. The price point is reasonable as well. Read more

Did not work! Horrible experience! I filed off the top Shiny coat and even the next layer. Soaked nails for a minimum of 10 minutes. Did not take off the polish, complete waste of money, extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend. Read more
