We recently spent time living with our son and daughter-in-law. They are a big proponents of bar style toiletries. It is a great way to avoid lots of one use plastic bottles. That said, it is also kind of a big mess in the shower. Unless the bars are kept dry, they sit and dissolve into a puddle of gooey soap mess – yuck. When I saw this acrylic soap holder, I decided to give it a try first, with the idea of gifting one like this to our kids. I decided to use mine set on the ledge in the shower rather than applying the sticky backer. It works fine that way and is sturdy. As you can see in the photo, I am a rebel – ha ha I have a body soap bar, a shaving soap bar, and I use the third slot for my scrubber. It is working great! No gooey soap piles. I like that the bars can stand on their edge which saves space too. The only thing that I am a little perplexed about is having the slots already labeled. I think I would’ve liked to just have them blank so that I can decide what goes in what place. However, if you have guests using your space, labels really do help so they know which bar is to be used for which thing. The price might be a pinch on the high side, but the savings and not having to replace soap bars as often makes it worth it. Read more

This soap holder turned out to be much sturdier than I expected based on the listing photos. It has a nice weight to it (not flimsy plastic), and the acrylic feels solid and well made. The full-length adhesive strip is a big plus. It feels very secure and is clearly designed for wet environments. Once installed, it hasn’t shifted or loosened at all, even with daily shower use. Installation was quick and truly no-drill. The drainage design works well — water doesn’t pool underneath the bars, which helps keep soap from getting soggy. I also appreciate having multiple compartments so different bars can be kept separate instead of stacked or sliding around on a shower ledge. While it’s labeled for shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, the compartments are versatile and work well for any combination of bar soaps. This replaced bars we previously had sitting on the shower door track, which was messy and inconvenient, especially when hands are wet. The holder is constructed from is thick and sturdy acrylic, roughly 1/4" thick. The size of the slots can accommodate even the larger bars of soap. The printing is bold and clear. Convenient that there is one labeled for shampoo, conditioner and body soap, for no mix-ups. There are draining slots cut under each slot, to keep the bars from getting soft and mushy. The holder comes with a large piece of double sided adhesive. I'm not sure how long that will hold up in a shower. I've mounted as far away from the water source as possible which hopefully will help. Possibly some suction cups would be a another design option. Price is quite reasonable. Read more

My Experience: I haven’t installed this soap holder yet because I’m still finishing up organizing my bathroom, but I’m really happy with the design so far. This is a solid bar soap holder, it’s got some weight to it & I was impressed at how well it’s made. I just got my first shampoo & conditioner bars & was leaving them on the outside of the shower because I didn’t want the water to melt them. Well what a pain to grab them, this just simplified my routine, I added my face soap in the last slot and now i have easy access to them. I used the sticky tape it came with and it’s been stuck ever since, it works good. The slots on the bottom allow excess water out and the holder is easy to rinse off and clean. Another thing, you don’t have to use sticky tape it would work great just sitting on a counter or shelf as well. Read more

This is my new favorite addition for my family bathroom. I truly appreciate how simple it is to install all you have to do is stick it to your wall or wherever you want to place it. I love that it has 3 spaces for each bar and has labels. This will truly help my younger children know which bar goes where.
