My lamp arrived on time and with no problems. I thought it was very easy to put together. The closest thing to having any faults is actually my own fault......i was so tired of comparing all the different lamps that i somehow mistakenly thought this one had either a dimmer or 3way switch. Was getting it for my bedroom reading nook & want to be able to dim it when not using it to read. I've ordered a different lamp for my room but i like this one so much i'm keeping it for my guest room, which probably could stand a little brighter light anyway. Read more
Love this lamp. Easy to assemble and well packed. Found it at Raymour & Flanigans and it was twice the price. Worth it from this site. The only disadvantage is the lamp does not have a three way switch. BUT, if you go to Home Depot, they sell a small plug-in device into which the lamp can plug. This device turns this lamp into a touch three way lamp. It's GREAT. Love it and it looks wonderful in my newly decorated living room. Read more
So this is a pretty lamp, but it was not easy to get together because the fit and twisting of the poles together didnt work so well and like most others said the bottom is a little wobbly. I also wish you could choose how many lights to turn on, meaning you always have to have 3 lights on at the same time. All in all not bad for the price. Read more
Advantages: The unit is beautiful and has great presence in any living room, especially one that is not cramped with too many pieces of furniture. Assembling the unit is easy and there is no difficulty in removing it from the package. Disadvantages: The base is sturdy enough for the floor lamp, however, it is made of a cheap clay- or cement-like material that begins flaking off right inside the package. Based on other floor lamps I have purchased in the past, this material in the base unit eventually dries and cracks completely, leaving the lamp unbalanced. The lamp bulbs are of the cheapest construction you could imagine, although they may be easily replaced for better bulbs of identical rating. Despite presence of three lamp bulbs, this lamp yields a very dim light, no matter how focused it is; one should note that three lamps of 40W do not add up to the amount of light intensity that a single 120-W lamp outputs! For the price it is sold, this is not a product you would consider buying only to have it replaced within a year or two because of the construction of its base. I give it one star for its quality. Adesso has the technology to produce better items, as noted in their catalog and two other items I purchased in the past, but has somehow chosen to have this low-quality unit made in China, which is not only very expensive for the price it is sold but also not environmentally sound as the unit ends up producing a large amount of waste when its base falls apart. It is one thing to replace light bulbs (or eventually a starter/transformer in other models), but it is a completely different story if one has to replace the base of a torchiere or part of its body after six months to one year of use... I was missing the washer to make it hold securely to the base, I used just the bolt and it was not sturdy. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me an incorrect part and said that if that didn't work to return it as defective, so I did. I really wanted to like this lamp as it's the closest in design to what I want, but there are a lot of things off with it that could be improved. The hoods on the light fixtures do not really look like they do in the picture and are hard to adjust, the bottoms of the light hoods are not parallel to the ground, the poles curve quite a bit more than they appear in the photo, so everything curves inward more than expected, which doesn't look as nice. If it looked like it did in the photo it would be better. You can't really adjust the curve in the poles without it creating a kink in them that won't go back, so i don't recommend adjusting them unless you're ok with that. I also agree with another review that mentions the styrofoam it's packed in creating a mess, it breaks apart very easily. I could be happy enough with this lamp despite it's imperfections, the style still very nice. I'm considering re-ordering another to try again if I don't find something else I like, so it's not terrible. Read more

I'm a quilter and use this light over my ironing surface. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the base isn't as heavy as it needs to be and the light tends to lean a bit rather than standing straight up. The angle of the lights covers everything that I need it to cover. Plus it's very attractive. It's a terrific light! Read more
