Lovely! Looks exactly like the pictures. The chain is very fine and thin, not something that would last long with me, but not a problem because the bale is large enough for a standard sized chain to go through. I just put the pendant on the chain I normally wear and its perfect. Yes, this is a created opal, but I knew that from the description (and anyone should have been able to figure it out based on the price point). I totally don't mind that it is a created opal because 1. opals tend to be pretty fragile, and this will be more hardy 2. This is a really good quality created opal 3. It is really quite beautiful Lastly, you can tell that this is a hand made, artisan piece by the setting. It is unique, simple and quite lovely, the perfect compliment to this vibrant stone. I bought this for my niece for Christmas. It is her birthstone for October. I didn't want to get her another pink stone and I lived the design of this necklace. She fell in live with it! It's a nice weight and perfect size. I will get her the earrings to match for her birthday. I am not sire if there is a matching bracelet but if there is, I will buy that too!
