These adjustable dumbbells are a clever, space-saving way to cover light strength work without buying multiple sets. The rounded-square heads look sleek and don’t roll, and the compact profile is easy to stash beside a desk or under a sofa. In a typical use case, they’re great for warm-ups, high-rep toning, mobility work, or physical-therapy progressions where small jumps matter. Each dumbbell adjusts from 2–5 lb in 1 lb steps (2, 3, 4, 5), using stackable 0.5 lb plates that twist-lock under the end caps. Assembly is intuitive—start from the handle and work outward—and adjustments are quick enough to keep circuits flowing. TPU soft-rubber handles provide a confident, non-slip grip when hands get sweaty, while the hard ABS shells on the plates resist scuffs. The 9.5" overall length with a 4" grip feels balanced, and the squared ends protect floors better than round bells; using a mat is still smart. My notes: the design is convenient, smart, and genuinely easy to assemble and adjust. Pros • Fast, intuitive weight changes (2/3/4/5 lb per bell; 4–10 lb per pair) • Comfortable TPU grip stays secure during sweaty sets • Compact, no-roll shape; easy to store and won’t wander between reps • Small weight increments are ideal for beginners, PT, and high-rep training • Durable ABS shells help resist chips and keep the set looking clean Cons • Twist-lock system feels less confidence-inspiring than metal pins—do a quick check before lifting • Tops out at 5 lb per hand; not for heavier strength blocks • Hard shells can be noisy on hard floors if set down abruptly—use a mat If you’re building a minimalist home setup, pairing these with bands or a kettlebell covers a surprising range of movements. For safety and longevity, seat each plate fully before twisting to lock, and give the ends a tug check between supersets. Final Thoughts A thoughtful, beginner-friendly set that nails convenience, comfort, and quick adjustments. For light strength, toning, and rehab progressions, they’re an easy win—especially when storage space is tight. If you’ll eventually need more than 5 lb per hand, consider these a great starting point or an accessory set; otherwise, they deliver solid everyday utility and tidy organization. Read more

This is my first set of adjustable dumbells. They work great! The handle bases by themselves are 2 pounds each. I didn't realize that, and had the half-pound endcaps on each one, so I was doing my physical therapy exercises with 3 pounds by accident for a week. But my therapist was impressed with the progress I made! They are a bit big and a little unwieldy compared to the non-adjustable dumbells, but it's worth it for the reduced storage space. Read more
Easy to change the weight and comfortable to hold! Read more
I’m so glad I got these Sportneer dumbbells. I got the lavender ones. It’s quick and easy to change from 2 pounds up to 5 pounds on each. Each of the weights is a ½ pound, and you put one on each end to add a 1-pound increment. It’s just a quick twist to add or decrease weight. Sometimes the weights are a little difficult to twist, but my son and my husband can do it with ease. I must not have the grip strength that they do. This may make it slightly more difficult for someone who has arthritis or a lower grip strength. However, they are relatively quick and easy to twist on and off. There’re so many ways you can exercise with these. I like to use them during my morning exercise routine, and when I go on my walks. It’s nice to be able to start at a lower weight and work up to a higher weight, and the fact that they’re portable makes it really nice. They come in a box with sectioned spots to keep them neat that you can use to store them in, although they don’t have an actual carrying case. They are plastic, but the grips or handles are a soft rubberized material that makes it easy and comfortable to grip without them slipping. Pretty decent quality and value considering how compact and portable they are compared to standard dumbbells. I, also, love the colors and that they were made with a woman in mind. Read more

This is probably one of the coolest things I've ever gotten. It is so easy to use and figure out. And you can add a lot of weight to it as well. The color I got is really pretty and they hold very nice on my hand. And the fact that you literally save space by getting rid of a bunch of different size dumbbells is just awesome. I know that each individual dumbbell weight at the store can get really pricey, so getting this will definitely save a lot of money so I highly recommend it. Read more
