This is a fantastic support stand for multiple devices. Taking it out of it's storage pouch, the quality was apparent with excellent machining and finishing throughout its mostly aluminum structure. Many times these types of items feel cheap, but this stand has exceptional build execution. All the articulating pieces moved thru their range smoothly, offering sufficient resistance to be able to support some good size laptops. I run a second 17" laptop at my desk for personal use during the day. Its quite a bit heavier and larger than more common 14" machines and this stand supports it well without any movement or flex when tapping on the keys. The angle is easy to to adjust on the fly by simply pulling out the ratcheting support arm to allow a latch to catch the next detent. The latches are the only plastic piece in this assembly. At first I questioned the choice to use plastic, but since the this piece is not under much load and contacts the supports under spring tension it was a good choice to preserve the nice anodized finish. The stand has great versatility and range for smaller magsafe devices with the head being able to pivot to most any angle. I tried this out on my iPhone pro max in it's minimalist TPU case. It held the phone and case's total weight of 275g (9.7 oz), but the thin TPU prevented a very secure mount and the phone would come loose if it was bumped. Taking the case off, it was uber secure. So it would be best to have a magsafe case if you do not want to remove it. Alternatively you could use the adhesive magnetic ring that comes in the accessory bag. In that same bag you'll also find a set of shorter rubber laptop supports and clear instructions. I really had to pick nits to find anything to ding. The only thing I could find was one of the adhesive rubber pads near the peg support was slightly misaligned, which is reaching. It's really an excellent piece overall and at its current price of $17, its a crazy value for this level of quality. Read more

I first noticed a stand like this while traveling in Europe. Sitting in a coffee shop, watching someone casually working with their laptop perfectly angled, phone snapped on magnetically, everything looking effortless. I remember thinking, I need that. I ordered one, promptly left it with my daughter overseas, and missed it almost immediately. So when this one came up, I did not hesitate. This stand is beautifully made. Solid aluminum, smooth joints, no wobble, no cheap feel. It folds flat, slips into the included pouch, and disappears into a bag when you are done. But when it is open, it feels strong and secure even with a full sized laptop. What I love most is how flexible it is. I use it constantly on my kitchen island while cooking. Laptop up for recipes, videos, or music while I move around. The airflow underneath actually matters. My laptop stays cooler and I am not hovering over a hot machine on a flat surface. It also saves my neck. That alone is worth it. The magnetic feature is a bonus I did not know I needed. Phone snaps on easily and stays put. Great for quick reference, timers, messages, or watching something while multitasking. If your phone case is not magnetic, they include a ring, which is thoughtful. I also use this for casual movie nights, travel setups, and quick work sessions where I do not want to hunch over a screen. It makes everything more comfortable and more ergonomic without effort. This is one of those tools that quietly makes daily life better. No learning curve, no fuss, just smart design that works. For me, anything that keeps my body happier, my tech cooler, and my setup cleaner is a win. Five stars. I already know this one will get used constantly. Read more
As someone who travels frequently, often on long flights that can last 12 hours or more, including international routes, I’ve learned that having the right travel accessories makes all the difference. One of the challenges I’ve faced for years is finding a truly portable stand for my iPad Pro 12.9". I rely heavily on my iPad during travel for watching movies, working, reading, and even attending virtual meetings. Because of that, I’ve been searching for a travel‑friendly stand that is lightweight, compact, and sturdy enough to support the large iPad without wobbling. After trying several stands that were either too bulky, too weak, or simply inconvenient to carry, I decided to purchase this particular stand, and I’m genuinely pleased with how well it fits my travel needs. Design, Portability & Build Quality One of the first things that impressed me was the stand’s design. It folds down extremely compact, much smaller than I expected. Compared to my current stand, which, while functional, takes up a frustrating amount of space, this one collapses into a form factor that fits easily into my body bag with room to spare. For someone who packs intentionally and tries not to overload their travel bag, this is a major win. The build quality also feels solid and well‑engineered. Despite its small, foldable design, it doesn’t give off a “cheap” or flimsy vibe. Instead, it has a clean, minimal aesthetic with a premium feel, suggesting that the manufacturer put real effort into making this both portable and durable. Ease of Use Even though the box includes several illustrated instructions and potential setup configurations, the stand is intuitive enough that most people likely won’t need to study them in detail. The mechanisms move smoothly, and the stand locks into position with just the right amount of resistance, strong enough to hold its form but not so rigid that you feel like you’re wrestling with it. Stability & Performance With the iPad Pro 12.9" This was my biggest concern. The 12.9" iPad Pro is large, heavy, and often too much for smaller stands. I’ve dealt with stands that tip over, slide around, or can’t hold the iPad at a comfortable viewing angle. But this stand performed exceptionally well. Once the iPad was set in place, it remained completely stable. It didn’t shift, slide, bounce, or tilt unexpectedly. Even while tapping on the screen or using it for tasks that require more interaction, like browsing or typing, it held steady. That level of stability is impressive for such a compact stand. This sturdiness gives me confidence that it’ll work perfectly during flights, in hotel rooms, or even on unstable surfaces like airplane tray tables. Height & Viewing Angle Limitations The one drawback I found, and the only thing that keeps it from being absolutely perfect, is the height. The stand does not lift the iPad very far off the table. When I’m at home, this isn’t a huge issue, but when traveling, especially on long flights, I prefer having the screen positioned higher to avoid constantly looking down. Looking downward for hours can strain my neck, so having a slightly elevated display would have been ideal. That said, it’s not enough of a drawback to outweigh everything else I like about the stand. The combination of stability, portability, and overall design quality still makes it an excellent accessory. Final Thoughts & Recommendation In the end, this stand checks almost all of my boxes: ✔ Extremely portable and travel‑friendly ✔ Beautiful, thoughtful design ✔ Surprisingly sturdy, even with the 12.9" iPad Pro ✔ Easy to set up and adjust ✔ Perfect for flights, hotels, cafés, and everyday use While I do wish it offered a bit more height for long travel sessions, it remains one of the best stands I’ve found for balancing portability and stability, especially for a large tablet like the iPad Pro. I highly recommend this stand to anyone, especially frequent travelers, minimalists, or anyone who wants a lightweight but reliable support for their iPad. Read more
