Packaging: - This foldable device mount came in a product specific box with the following: - The Magnetic Foldable Device Mount - A protective bag with a draw string - A plastic bag containing a wet and dry cleaning cloth for possibly converting a device or object into a magnetically capable object to mount on this mount. Setup & Ease of Use: - If your phone, tablet, monitor, or device is not magnetic (I think this mount would still work for you), but if you want that extra capability/security/usage, you can attach the magnetic ring that comes with this stand to the device. Performance & Features: - This is very well designed and made of high-quality materials. - When any part of the stand is expanded, it stays in place at the position that you extend it to (which is amazing for its size and compactness) Pros: - This stand can be moved in a lot of ways to create a setup that likely works for you. Cons: - The downside to having so many options is that if you want to come back to the same position another time, it can be a little tricky to find that position again considering that most positions that move don't have a marker to come back to quickly in the future for repeating the same position. - Personally, I like that versatility, but there may be some that want it to pull and lock in place more precisely each time it is used portably for the same device. Even then, it locks in several positions, and I'd recommend this. I LOVE this stand! It feels very sturdy and is clearly built with quality materials, not flimsy at all. As a college student, I’m constantly reaching for my iPad or laptop since most of my textbooks are digital, and this stand has been a huge help in keeping everything at a comfortable viewing angle. The adjustable height levels are fantastic; they make a noticeable difference in reducing neck strain and improving my posture during long study sessions. This is a decent all-purpose phone and laptop stand, and it can even moonlight as a small selfie stick or tripod. It’s very versatile. It’s also well-made and reasonably lightweight. Build quality is about like I’ve seen from similar products, and it feels plenty secure when holding up my ASUS G14 or my iPhone 17 Pro Max. The only issues I have with the thing are its size and that big ol’ magnet. Re the former, it’s pretty bulky. Most of that bulk is due to the MagSafe ring, but regardless, the stand is just overall less portable than other laptop stands in my arsenal. The magnet is also potentially problematic, depending on your computer. Most modern computers won’t have any issues, as they tend not to have components that are sensitive to magnets. However, if your computer has certain censors (lid closure, direction/compass, etc.), this magnet might cause some interference unpleasantness. I really love this weird little stand. It’s not exactly snap-and-go right out of the box. There are enough joints and moving parts that setup and takedown took me a couple tries to get used to. That said, it’s intuitive, and after a day or two it became second nature. Now I barely think about it. Functionally, it’s great. It works like a charm folded out for my laptop and my iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard. And the tripod mode is fantastic with a couple of electronic devices I keep in MagSafe cases. The magnetic grip is strong and confidence-inspiring, and the adjustability makes it easy to find a comfortable angle no matter what device I’m using. The real win is how small it folds down. It collapses to almost nothing, which makes keeping something this versatile on hand a total no-brainer. Desk, backpack, couch arm, travel bag, kitchen counter…it just lives wherever I might need it.
