My needs are simple: be able to place my phone or tablet on this, for viewing videos with my wife hands-free, whether outside, in the living room or in the bed. If you set it in position once, you never need to set it again. This isn't like the flimsy stand of the past. It's sturdy, a perfect height, it makes room for setting other things around it, and it holds my phone in place without extra arms to hold it. I love the build quality and the design. It's very sturdy and well made. One downside is that it's a little TOO sturdy that it was extremely hard for a woman to open it up. I needed my brother in the beginning and I once it was unfolded, I could adjust it on my own. The hindges are extremely stiff but again, it also stays in position even if I am typing on my laptop on top of it. Overall I'm happy with the quality and I'll be using it with my Macbook. Read more
