This vest has been great! I got the version that goes up to 40 pounds and I started with 20 lbs and in a few weeks worked my way up to 32 lbs for an hour at a time a few times each work day without discomfort. The vest is we'll built with no sign of wear after daily use for a couple months. It really is adjustable to most body sizes and all the way from it's empty weight (a couple pounds) to 40 pounds in two pound increments. The iron sand bags don't look durable enough to move them in and out frequently without busting a seam, but none of them have leaked at all yet, so no complaints. Wearing the weight not only helps my bones and muscles but keeps me feeling grounded and helps me focus when I would normally be fidgety standing at my desk doing boring computer work. If you're somewhat heavier, like I am, some of the outer pockets on the front will interfere with arm movement when walking because they stick out. This won't happen if the vest isn't fully packed and those ones are left empty. Right now, using mostly the ones on the back, it works better. It's winter now, so using it over a sweatshirt, in that mode it's pretty comfortable for me. Not sure what it will be like in the warmer weather with just a t-shirt, but seems like it should be OK. Would like it better if the weight elements were less bulky. Over-all quality seems pretty good so far, have been using for around three weeks and no issues yet. Not sure on the accuracy of the actual weights. Put it on with what should be 11.9 pounds (1.9 vest & 6 1.5 weights) and the scale said it was closer to 10, though the scale only goes in 0.5lb increments. I guess it's close enough, but haven't weighed individual weights yet. Not sure if it really matters, if it's enough, you'll notice when using, if not, add more. Has a good range with this one going up to about 30 (29.9 since they include the 1.9 vest in that amount). Right now, using about 1/2 of that. As mentioned, if using it all, side motion may be somewhat impeded. The reflector bits don't seem like they add much, but if using under something, like I am now with a winter coat, they don't matter anyway. Read more
