Been wanting to add a weighted vest to add some variety to more than one exercise, ring exercises, pull-ups, bodywork exercises, for me, found this at a perfect time, In the pics I included, shows the front, which has reflective accents on the shoulders for outdoor exercise after dark, the four pitch pockets with velcro closers, the adjustable click in strap and the big velcro strip and attaching straps with rectangle metal rings to tighten and secure this vest easily, same pic shows the pouch(which I thought would be leaking, just goes through my mind when I hear sand filled, for some reason, but all of them were sewn well, not one sign of sand anywhere), right after checking them, I weighed, and sure enough 2.2lbs each, first thought because I forgot the description is I got a light vest, but forgot the vests weight which makes the whole thing 18lbs. Pic shows the padding for the top of the shoulder which I definitely have to have to keep from digging in, the rear has the same reflective patches with 4 more sand pouches covered by one long flap secured by velcro with a mesh pouch ( maybe for water, a towel, don’t know). I’m 5’10” 185 ish and put this on without any issues or needing to put my arms in bad angles to do it, never had a vest so it seemed like a bib to me, its above my belly button, which looking up more is supposed to be this size, the shoulder straps go out slightly so they sit on the shoulders not the traps, the click in strap has plenty of length for adjustments, I like the extra just in case the exercising doesn’t work, lol, the velcro lock in straps do just that, this thing has no chance of slipping off, theres the right amount of armpit space for easy full range of movement, first thing I did was a ring row and this was just insanely better than the weights I was rigging in my pockets or with the dip belt put all the way up my chest, this for me is going to make progression in so many exercises much easier at 2.2lbs at a time. I’d recommend this, it seems well made, stitching looks solid, fabric is nice, the safety reflective patches are really a nice addition, got two ways to secure it, each could easily work alone, even the sandbags are nice, would I purchase this, yeah. good deal. Update: After having this vest for many workouts, I had to update my review, while all the above good qualities are the same, the one star taken away is the pouches for the sandbags, as stated above the bags come out easily, but because they are not expandable it’s a little harder to get them back in, fyi. Love this vest!! Heavy BUT it's so comfortable! You can add or remove the weights. Fits perfectly and securely. Nice padding in the shoulder straps. Adjusts and can be tightened around the waist so your shoulders don't take the brunt of the weight. Read more

This is a perfect addition for those of us on a lower budget but still wanting that extra something to add. All of the sand bags are removable, and you can easily exchange them heavier bags. It is well supported so it’s not too much weight on one area, and there is extra support while wearing this also, there’s two separate areas so tighten/loosen, adjust the fit. It’s not uncomfortable like i was expecting it to be, although it’s a bit bulky and isn’t something to wear under clothing unless it’s a loose fitting sweater. Read more

I’m very impressed with this weighted vest, it’s easy to use, works well, and while the quality is good, the Velcro has made the edging pill because it’s gotten caught on it. It is like a double wrap type of Velcro waist straps, which took a second to figure out once on - truly not hard just a note that it may be a little tricky the first time. It’s very comfortable for adding weight to your frame, I didn’t feel as though my shoulders were being worn through. I planned to wear it on early morning walks but now that it’s dark out later, I opted to wear it during chores and now I’ll never do chores without it. Why not make something you have to do anyway, a workout? I took out 4 bags to get used to wearing it and it didn’t feel any different when doing the chores so, I think that’s a win! I’m not looking to be sore or in pain after, I just want to add additional weight resistance to everyday activity so I can keep doing those things well into my old age. Read more
