I’ve been using the Aroha Adjustable Weighted Vest in blue (11–20 lb with 6 removable ironsand weights) daily for a few days now and it’s easily my favorite weighted vest. Color & Safety The royal blue is stunning in person: rich, vibrant, and way prettier than the photos. The reflective strips front and back are bright and perfect for evening walks or runs. Fit & Security I’m 5’3”, ~135 lbs, and it fits like a glove. The vest clips together on both sides with strong, sturdy buckles (super quick to put on and take off), and then wide Velcro flaps with heavy-duty Velcro fold over the weight pockets to keep everything locked in place. Once it’s on, it does NOT move: no bouncing, shifting, or riding up, even at the full 20 lbs during burpees, push-ups, squats, or brisk walks. Adjustability The six ironsand packets are so easy to slide in and out. I usually wear 11–14 lbs for longer walks and load it all the way to 20 lbs for strength days. Being able to change the weight in seconds is a game-changer. Pockets The two front zippered pockets (white trim) are awesome: my iPhone 17 Pro Max, cards, keys, and ID all fit easily with room to spare. Love going hands-free on walks. Quality Solid stitching, strong clips and Velcro, no sand leakage, no weird smells, and it still looks brand new after some sweaty workouts. Super easy to wipe down after removing the weights. This vest is comfortable, secure, great-looking, and actually practical. 100% recommend! Read more
I bought this Aroha Adjustable Weighted Vest because I wanted to look like a tactical snack while walking my dog, and let me tell you—it delivers. The Lowdown: The "Main Character" Energy: I got the Black version, and it is so vibrant that I’m pretty sure NASA can track my progress from space. The reflective strips are also a nice touch for when I’m running at night and want to look like a very fit, very fast ghost. The "No-Jiggle" Zone: Most vests bounce around like a toddler on a sugar rush, but this one stays put. Between the side buckles and the massive Velcro flaps, I feel more secure than a secret service agent’s earpiece. Cargo Space for Days: The front pockets are huge. I can fit my giant phone, my keys, and probably a small snack for later. It’s basically a fanny pack that makes you stronger. Sweat-Proof (Mostly): The neoprene is soft and comfortable, but let's be real—wearing 20 lbs of sand is going to make you sweat. On the plus side, it’s easy to wipe down, so you don't end up smelling like a gym locker from 1994. Final Verdict: If you want to feel like a superhero while doing laundry or just want to make "housework" an Olympic sport, this is the vest for you. My only complaint? It didn't come with a cape. I’ve been using the Aroha weight vest and overall it’s a solid, well-made option for adding resistance to workouts. The adjustable weight range (11–20 lbs) is very convenient—you can easily remove or add the weight packs depending on your training needs, which makes it versatile for walking, cardio, or strength workouts. The vest has two adjustable side clips that help secure it snugly around the torso. There’s no shoulder adjustment, though, so the fit is mostly dependent on how it sits once clipped. The weight distribution is generally good, but the back weight can feel a bit bulky and slightly uncomfortable around the shoulder blade area during longer sessions. One feature I really like is the front storage pocket with Velcro—it’s handy for small items like keys or a phone. The vest feels durable and stays in place during movement, which is important for weighted training. Overall, this is a good quality weight vest with flexible weight options and useful features. If the back weight were a bit less bulky or the shoulders adjustable, it would be even better—but it still does the job well. Read more
Oof. This thing has heft. Putting it on reminds me of what it felt like when I was 20 pounds heavier. Hopefully wearing it will get another 20 off and improve upper body strength. Fully loaded, it’s more than I can bear for more than a few minutes, but 12 pounds can be removed in 2 pound increments to get down to a more reasonable starting load, then added as strength increases. The straps are easy to operate and snug up tight. It looks a lot like molded body armor, so I feel like Batman wearing it. Read more
I purchased the 11–20 lb. black vest for my wife and she's very happy with it. The material feels durable yet comfortable, and the Velcro is strong and secure. The weight packs are well made and easy to remove, which makes it simple to add weight gradually as she builds up endurance. Even without adding the weights, the vest fits comfortably on her shoulders, and across her chest, which I'm told is important for a woman. I really like the reflective strips for visibility and her safety. The roomy front pocket does a great job holding her phone securely, along with any other small items she might want to carry. The only thing missing was instructions. The vest is fairly self-explanatory, and the product listing helped, but even a small guide or tips on how to add weight, adjust fit, or where to learn more would have been nice. Overall, this vest feels well designed and comfortable to wear, and she is looking forward to its continued use on walks, during workouts and apparently housework. Read more
This neoprene vest starts light and adjusts via removable ironsand packs, with options up to 32lbs. It's breathable, fits snugly (especially the women's curved design), and includes reflective strips plus pockets. Used for walks and bodyweight workouts, the even weight distribution avoids shoulder strain, making it excellent for building endurance or bone density progressively. Comfortable for extended wear compared to bulkier vests. Read more
