This is touted as a commercial vacuum, and may be slightly more durable than ones from the local department store, but don’t expect it to hold up to daily use! For 450+ friggin’ dollars, the power head to main body hinge point is one of the absolute worst design failures I’ve ever encountered in appliance repair and they should have provided an updated fix for it by now!! When (not if) this point fails and breaks, you will have to replace BOTH the FRONT AND BACK MAIN BODY plastics to get it working again, or just throw it away...! Each main body plastic is around $80, so if you are extremely knowledgeable and can replace them yourself it can be running again for a couple hours labor and $200 more dollars. If not yourself, then expect another $150 in labor to have it fixed.. And, for the record, WE DID NOT ABUSE THESE VACUUMS. So, in short, after having fixed our THREE of these and another one failing again, I’m super fed up with this ignorant design and recommend that either Nilfisk-Advance provide FREE LIFETIME SERVICE on these vacuums or refund the $2000+ we spent on these so-called durable vacuums!! Have had this vacuum for about 3 years now, and it is the best I have ever owned. I have 3 kids, 3 dogs and this vacuum has outlived all the others. You can vacuum with your friends vacuum and then go over it with this and see what a difference there is. Read more
